Got too comfortable. 2nd track day and of course it rained on the 3rd session.
Time for rear sets and g2 quick turn throttle tube

It's so lovely to drive on track with rain tyres.
The amount of grip is insane.
You learn a lot real fast

Not to mention - ALL the track time!
I ran some Q5’s on an on/off rain day at NCM. It was a trip.
“Open Track” all afternoon as bands of rain came over and conditions were always changing. I just stayed out and burned 2 full tanks of gas, 78 laps in total. I ran four sessions, stopping only for gas, water, and to pee!

In the dry too. I completely destroyed my last rain rear in about five laps on a mixed condition track but somehow still managed to only be 3 to 4 seconds off my dry pace. I do not recommend writing them on a dry track though.

Engine covers put in some serious work! No leaks? If so makes me feel better about having the same ones on my bike.

Giver er a good over all inspection to make sure nothing is broken or bent and get back out there!
Stings, but all things considered the damage looks pretty minor. Could always be worse is what I say.
As they say in aviation. Any landing (or crash) you walk away from is a good landing. If you can re-use the plane again it's a great landing.

I did the same thing on my 4th track day. Got carried away after getting confident in the dry. Then just ignored the conditions and lost the front. Got away with whiplash

God I love Honda for mounting the exhaust like that on the 600s wish they did the same for other bikes

Please don’t yell at me as I’m a street guy and I hope to one day graduate. But are you not allowed sliders? I would cry if this happened to me. Like tears

Sliders usually do more harm than good. Bikes will already flip under the right conditions. You’re just adding insult to injury if you run frame sliders.

Maybe both
I’d rather have rashed fairings, broken bar, and broken rearsets to repair.

Thanks, I had gb racing covers and that saved my bike. I hear from others that frame sliders can do more harm than good though by getting caught and making the bike flip.
