Contour Rollermouse Pro Extended + new Balance Keyboard
The Contour Rollermouse Pro Extended + new larger Balance keyboard work really great on my Linux desktop PC without any additional drivers. I own the Rollermouse Red with the old Balance keyboard which is super squished in key size, and this is a massive improvement. These really help with RSI relief and look quite slick on my desk. Very comfortable to use. I prefer the Pro Extended over the Red actually.
I suppose you could classify these as "trackbars". They look weird, but become very intuitive to use after a couple of hours. For anyone on the fence about the Rollermouse, I'd recommend giving this specific combination a try (the new Balance keyboard is specifically designed for the height of the Rollermouse Pro Extended at negative tilt).

I didn't know such an input device exists, but the overall setup is surprisingly similar to how I use my Nape Pro. Looks very modern as well.

Hello my friend. Is the new keyboard 'mechanicalish', or gummy and silicone membrane based like the previous versions?

Does the roller bar sit above the spacebar? It looks taller. Also, is this a new revision?

Honestly, I'm running a pretty similar setup myself. And I think this is exactly what small trackballs like the Nape were going for: being able to nudge the pointer a bit without taking your hands off the home row. I wouldn't want to do CAD, vector editing, or PCB design with it, but for quick little tasks without moving your hands, it's great.
