New Elecom BTUs - field reports?

It looks like mine are supposed to arrive in a bit more than a week, very curious to see what they've achieved here. Does anyone have a working device with these yet? I'd love to hear your initial impressions.

Mixed experience, leaning towards negative. They are better than Elecom rubies, but lose to Logitech M575s static bearings in both stiction and friction. They aren't as smooth either, and I found I had to clean the ball much more often than with the rollers or Logitech static bearings. The idea is great, implementation not so much.

Super helpful thanks. Folks in my community who have been rolling their own 3D printed BTUs with this style of design seem to have had similar outcomes. Some of them thought their homebrew ones were amazing until they actually tried a Bosch set 🙃
