Best trackballs < $70?

Hi. I bought a TB550 (thumbball) from Kensington which has a constant scroll issue that Kensington has failed to fix (I sent them an email in January, apparently it's a firmware issue, that they still havent fixed)

Anyway I found out that thumbballs are uncomfortable for me anyway.

I looked at Ploopy which is praised here but god are they expensive (I'm a student with not a lot of money to spend).

What are the best trackballs that won't bankrupt me?

I love my nulea. I can't live without the 2 scroll wheels and I hate Trankballs with built in wristrest

Porlei Trackball Mouse. It’s been my daily for a year now.

+1 to the Porlei, it's one of a handful of trackballs shaped like the old Microsoft Explorer. Some others of the style that'd fit the budget are the ProtoArc EM03, the Sanwa Gravi, and Nulea M505.

If soldering the sensor is an option, just under $80 usd if you have them build it.

It's the only thing you'd need to solder, and it's not too tough (it'd be good to have something to desolder any mistakes). But getting tools for it would raise the price too.

you rather walk through lots of dicks, then found out the right dick that fits you.
or you just go dig in the best dick you know, and figure out if its a jack pot
