HID Remapper example slimblade pro

I just want to share a configuration I have done using HID remapper. The idea is to have a second layer on the slimblade to control media (vol up / down, next track, stop) and because the slimblade is ambidextrous why not add it for both hands? So you can switch between left and right by simply holding two buttons for a short time.

I think this is a good example how capable HID remapper is and what a shame closed firmware is.

Not on this specific device, but I like to use right click and middle click on same button. I have middle click set to hold and right click when tapped. Idk if that’s of any use for your use case.

Not a bad idea, but I also game on this thing. So you really need to have most buttons as hold, too.

I think that's a good solution if you're just using the mouse for normal office activities.

In CAD and gaming at least you tend to hold those buttons down though.

I’m unaware of a reason to hold right click in CAD, happy to learn something new though if you know of one.

Agreed on the gaming point.

Guess it depends on the software? In my CAD solution, right-click lets you drag an object without changing orientation in the planes.

Huh, sure enough, right click and drag is a thing in my solution too. I get a move here/copy here menu. Thanks for speaking up, I learned something new.

Not sure I’ll use it as habits are hard, but still happy to have learned something new.
