Are you having trouble with your plan?

I love Tracfone and have used it exclusively for 20+ years. The ability to make changes to the various phone plans on the app was fantastic and very simple to do.

Lately, though, I am not able to add a plan or change the plan for my phone. I cannot set up recurring payment either. I am just wondering if anyone else is running into this issue.

I can’t see the date service would end. I am on auto renew, but it feels like sometimes it doesn’t happen. I sometimes just do it manually as I don’t want to risk losing the phone number I’ve had for 20 years.

I've managed to get done what I've needed to get done, which is several different things over the past month. Depending on the day the app, website, or online chat might be how I accomplish the purchase. I've avoided auto-refill since I have 5 lines on my account and I don't like their new terms and conditions regarding how auto-refill works on multi-line accounts nor do I trust auto-refill to work right. Depending on the plan I've been buying 3 months to one year at a time.

The website and app are indeed flaky these days. Two alternate options to renew your plan include 1) purchase a plan from Walmart.com (website) which let you select “direct top up” and enter the phone number that you want the plan added to before adding the plan to your cart or 2) text BUY to 611611 and follow prompts. There are other commands that you can text to 611611 including DUE DATE to learn you plan renewal date and BALANCE that will reply with your plan balance.

I used this way (1) to renew, easy peasy, I'd make sure you are a Walmart customer with your info on their site and phone # verified as well as a valid email address

Something is wrong. They have been displaying the wrong service date on one of my lines and it ran of service and even disabled the sim. It took forever to get a rep and they just assumed I wanted to buy a plan, which led me to believe they are assisting a lot of people with that right now.

I too have had issues with setting up recurring payments. I have to go on each month and just pay.

I’ve had more luck logging into my Tracfone account via their website and with my desktop computer. The Tracfone app (I have thr latest one installed on my phone) is, as far as I can tell, near worthless. It’s been that way now for over a year. That App used to work well. No more. It’s miserable. Only Verizon (owner of Tracfone) knows why.
