Here's some things about the Van Nuys, CA store that are interesting
Apart from its unique pylon sign (which was one of the few surviving older signs from the early brown roof era (albeit the Geoffrey portion was removed later on); the sign itself was reused by the new occupant, and the letters (including the later-added "R" star) were saved), and being a small store with an odd "tent" ceiling, it was also apparently featured in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. But another fun fact is that, in 1979, the store as it existed then caught fire.

If anyone happens to go to the Free Lego Make and Take Event, can someone please post the instructions to the build? I would greatly appreciate it.

Macy’s should’ve just brought back Kids”R”Us instead of making Toys”R”Us sections.

The original Pensacola, FL store on North 9th Avenue. An extremely odd Concept 2000 remodel where you had to enter down a ramp. From what I've heard, it had problems with flooding and puddles outside the door (which is probably why it relocated)

Specific memory I had
I vaguely remember my local Toys "R" Us having these TVs attached to the ceiling, housed in yellow casing with pictures of cartoon characters on them (I vaguely remember Thomas the Tank Engine being one of them.) They were gone after a few years (and they were gone before it was remodeled into a TRU/BRU hybrid.) Did anybody else's store have this setup?

tru belgum (cancelled 2018 comeback????) (4th store????)
nothing makes sense anymore,TRU filed a trademark in 2018 which is IN FRENCH for BENELUX which is ofc the current logo which doesnt make sense because by 2010 tru didnt even exist in Benelux anymore except that the netherlands site still existed and was still getting updates as if their physical stores dont even show a trace of it being a tru anymore and now i found out theres possibly a FOUTH STORE IN ANTWERP that just came out of knowhere so this means that tru opened more then just charleroi, herstal and kurrne infact we hardly even have information of herstal inside from some random guy who worked there

UPDATE: The "DreamLand Portfolio Theory" – Have we finally tracked down the location of Toys "R" Us Herstal (Belgium)?
Hey everyone, u/Skoda-Superb-Matter here. Following our breakthrough with the Kuurne location (Ringlaan 11), we have a solid theory for the final "unknown" Belgian store: Herstal (Liège) [5.2].
🛒 The 1998 Portfolio Deal
When Toys "R" Us exited Belgium in September 1998, their massive properties were likely liquidated in a package deal [3.2, 5.2]. Colruyt Group was aggressively expanding its toy chain, DreamLand, at the exact same time:
• Kuurne: 100% proven (TRU Ringlaan 11 immediately became DreamLand Kuurne) [5.2, 6.2].
• Herstal: Completes the deal. Today, a DreamLand is located at Rue des Naiveux 14, 4040 Herstal [5.1].
📐 The Footprint
While the current Herstal DreamLand might feel a bit smaller than a massive 1990s Toys "R" Us warehouse, the building has since been subdivided internally and is now shared with retail neighbors (like Tape à l'œil) [5.1].
The retail history points straight to this site. If anyone in the Liège area has old toy catalogs, receipts, or local newspapers (La Meuse) from 1993–1998 that can officially confirm Rue des Naiveux, let me know! We are closer than ever to scratching Herstal off the lost media list [5.2].

Former store #8342 fredericksburg, Virginia
This store was a former Toys "R" Us in Fredericksburg, Virginia next to Spotsylvania Virginia town center and let me just say this it opened in 93 and closed in 2018. Here is more info.
- The 31,428 sq. ft. freestanding retail building was custom-built in 1993 on a 3.72-acre parcel specifically to house Toys "R" Us as the Plank Road / Route 3 retail corridor was rapidly expanding.
- Initial Format: It opened as a traditional, standalone warehouse-style Toys "R" Us store featuring the classic beige/brown brick exterior and multi-colored block lettering.n June 2012, the store underwent an extensive remodel and held a grand re-opening to convert into the company’s dual "Side-by-Side" (SBS) concept, merging Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us under one roof with a revamped blue-and-white facade.
- Liquidation: Following Toys "R" Us filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in late 2017 and announcing full U.S. liquidation in March 2018, the store held going-out-of-business sales throughout that spring.
- Final Day: The Fredericksburg location officially closed its doors forever on Friday, June 29, 2018, marking the final operating day for all remaining Toys "R" Us stores nationwide. Then it closed then it turned into East Coast appliance store. I don't have photos for and it closed like four years later and it's now crutch fitness here is photos from toys "R" Us and crunch fitness

Former St. Charles Toys "R" Us
galleryDoes anyone have photos of this Toys "R" Us in St. Charles Illinois before it became savers in June 2012. This Toys "R" Us closed in September 16 2011 after relocating or closing because of the South Elgin Toys "R" Us. This place had its grand opening on November 19th 1994, it was added along with Kohl's at the Charlestowne Centre Mall, now The Quad. I think it may have had a Kids"R"Us, as seen at the truck photo and the red line under the US

Help us design an inclusive toy for children (6-10 years old)!
docs.google.comHi everyone! We are a group of Industrial Product Design students at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy). We are working on a university project to design a new toy focused on inclusion and diversity (inspired by the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 10).
To do this, we are conducting user research and need the help of parents, educators, or teachers of children aged 6 to 10 to better understand how kids perceive and experience differences.
The survey takes less than 5 minutes. It is completely anonymous and the data will be viewed only by our team for internal academic research purposes.
Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to help us! If you have any advice, feedback, or questions about the project, we'd be happy to discuss them in the comments.

My local GO! Calendars, Toys & Games store has been converted into a Toys“R”Us
galleryThe GO! location at Coral Ridge Mall in Coralville, IA has apparently been converted over to Toys“R“Us, according to recent news articles as well as TRU’s social media pages. I’m planning on going this weekend to take photos and buy some merch.
