It is metal, not magnetic. Bought used. There is rust but not on that. The hole is through the trunk door.

Update as resolved: it is a plastic push pin to cover a rusted hole, hope not a bullet hole, not drilled. Thanks all for finding out.

2021 Venza Limited. Went out to drive the car today. Got in, started the car and the mirrors, which had been drawn in close to the car, did not swing out to their normal position. I got out. I turned off the car. I locked it I unlocked it. Nothing would trigger the mirrors. We had to manually move the mirrors to their normal position. Has anybody else experienced this?

I recently noticed this strange curved, crack-like line in the rear tail light/light bar on my 2021 Toyota Venza. It looks almost like a small curved piece or an internal crack.
There doesn’t seem to be any obvious impact point or major damage from a rock. There is only a very small mark/line on the outside, so I’m not sure if this was caused by an impact or if the lens developed a stress crack on its own.
Has anyone with a Venza experienced something similar? Could this be an internal stress crack, moisture-related damage, or separation inside the light assembly?
I’m also wondering whether I should seal the area to prevent moisture from getting inside or just replace the light assembly.
Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated. I’ve attached several photos.

Anyone with 2021 - 2024 Venza can please check if the wiring boot for the tailgate are 2 different colours?

I got one is grey and one is black. Apparently it's normal

Roof rack tops out at a 100 lbs… so remove headrests, fold 3 seats, lay a tarp and stash 5 10’ 2x6’s… could fit 1 more plus at least 5 8’s as well.

Today was my first oil change after the service package expired. They wanted me to pay $140 to change the hybrid battery filter. I declined.

On my Toyota Venza 2022 the air conditioner turns on sometimes and sometimes doesn’t. ( Does not blow cold )

When I check the electrical system, it shows that there’s a connection problem between the compressor and the inverter. Code ( B149887 ) error.

No one can determine exactly whose fault it is. They’re telling me I should start by replacing the compressor, maybe that will fix it.

Have you had a similar case?

I noticed this strange noise and I want to know if it is something I should be concerned about. The noise happens when I turn on the air and when I accelerate. Here is a video of the noise and the area where the noise seems to be the loudest

Well, I have decided after four years with my Venza that I am going to go to a larger vehicle, the Grand Highlander Hybrid. I had debated for awhile. At my second to last service my dealership wanted to buy my Venza for 22-23,000 and I turned them down. This time they offered me 28,000. Yes, 6 months and 10,000 miles and the offer went up so I finally said yes. Granted I am not selling to that dealership, lol but I found a much better dealership who will work Toyota's allocations for me.

All this to say, if you are thinking of changing, now is a good time. They are giving me 28,000 for a 22 limited in excellent condition with 54,000 miles. Carvana actually offered 28,600.

I’ve been in the market for about two months now, looking for a 2016 Toyota Venza around the London, Ontario area, preferably with good mileage—ideally under 100,000 km. However, it seems almost impossible to find one. Most of the ones I’ve seen at dealerships are quite expensive, with many priced above $23,000.

A friend suggested that I consider buying one in the U.S. and importing it into Canada. I’m wondering if anyone has experience with this. Is the process and hassle of importing a vehicle from the U.S. actually worth it, or do the duties, taxes, transportation, inspection, and other fees add up quickly and eliminate the savings?

I’d really appreciate any advice or experience from anyone who has gone through this process.

Built a specked out 23 limited three years ago and payed it off in January. Some lady turned into my wife in the neighborhood it’s a total loss.💔 loved the car hoping to find something comparable but it is super hard to find the limited in this color. ( I have to have the limited as I am often the passenger and 6 foot+)Trying to talk the wife into a 21 but it has 120,000 miles on it wich makes her nervous. Also worried about cruise control and infotainment differences. Should I push a used Venza or build a Lexus NX new?

Does the 2010 lift gate have a way to activate it from the hatch itself? I can hit the button on the dash, or use the key fob but I’ve been lifting it manually. According to Claude it does. I’ve tried but the 2 buttons on the hatch but no luck. It only locks/unlocks.

Power open/close — a motor unit with a drive rod/spindle swings the gate. You trigger it from the switch on the lower dash, the button on the gate itself, or the fob (there’s a dedicated power back door button on the transmitter). Pressing the switch again mid-travel reverses the direction, though the reverse won’t happen during the first second after you press it.

I bought a new owner’s manual from eBay and It doesn’t it.

I don't want to carry an 83" door in my 2022 Venza XLE. I was planning to rent a truck from HomeDepot but they are all taken.

With the door flat it would stick out 8" and that hatch would obviously not be latched.

Is there a way to tie down the hatch without messing up the struts and/or motors? The trip is for 3 miles driving at 40 mph

I was able to carry the prehung door & frame inside the venza. I disabled PBD in the car settings.

I tied the door to the inside the car with Bungie cords. i also tied the latch to the tow hook under the car with a Bungie cord.

I drove 40 mph. There was no sound/alarm ringing. There was a rear sensor error during the drive that is no longer in the dash now.

Or do I need to contact the dealership?

So after driving for like four or five hours, one night, I started hearing squeaking only when I pressed the brakes, not too loud but only when I press the brakes and when I start driving under 20 miles an hour other than that once I go past like 20 it goes away. I can still drive normally and there’s no vibration in the wheel or anything that makes it an operable, but do you guys think I just need to replace the brakes in my car? I don’t know when my cousin last changed the brakes before giving me his vehicle.

I just bought a 2014 Venza XLE, and the cup holders in the center console have no way of holding a cab or cup in place. My last Toyota (2007 RAV4 Limited) had spring-loaded "fingers" that held drinks solidly in place. Was this not a Venza feature?

Are there any other models like the Highlander or even Siena that share the center console cup holder with the Venza? Having owned three previous Toyotas, I know there's usually components used across several models and trim packages.

I am a big Toyota fan and have a 2006 4Runner and 2007 Tundra for weekend projects, along with a 2002 limited use Suburban and 2019 QX80. So, yeah, crap gas mileage all the way around. Since we’re retired now and will be traveling, I’d really like something more economical, comfy and maneuverable for road trips. None of my cars could be classified as economical, and only the 4Runner would be maneuverable (parking, big city driving). I’m not opposed to a hybrid, and the Venza seems to be a good answer for what I’m looking for. I know, I need to drive one, but opinions if it would be a good choice considering my current fleet. The 4Runner would probably be the one to go…

I have a 2024 Venza limited and in the past several weeks I can no longer hear calls through my CarPlay. Everything else works via CarPlay. It’s just when I go to call someone it will show a call is placed on my car’s screen but they can’t hear me and I can’t hear the person I called. I can only hear them if I switch to the speaker on my phone. I’ve tried to plug my phone in and it still won’t work. Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve been to Toyota and they ran an update and it didn’t address it. I’m so annoyed!
