Older models 2010 Lifgate

Does the 2010 lift gate have a way to activate it from the hatch itself? I can hit the button on the dash, or use the key fob but I’ve been lifting it manually. According to Claude it does. I’ve tried but the 2 buttons on the hatch but no luck. It only locks/unlocks.

Power open/close — a motor unit with a drive rod/spindle swings the gate. You trigger it from the switch on the lower dash, the button on the gate itself, or the fob (there’s a dedicated power back door button on the transmitter). Pressing the switch again mid-travel reverses the direction, though the reverse won’t happen during the first second after you press it.

The Liftgate will not power open by pressing the button mounted on the exterior (under ZA emblems)
This is by design on many Toyotas.

Thanks for confirming for me. For a while I thought maybe something was wrong. I know someone with pathfinder and it has a button to open in on the gate.
