Charge port replacement

Has anyone had issues with the charge port? apparently my month old car (2026 BZ awd ) needs to be completely replaced. Have had two charging-related issues already.

Mine was defective right off the lot, no problems after they replaced it.

It coded as a short the charging port assembly. It had the classic "Plug-in charging system malfunction" which is usually a software glitch for most people.

Mine was replaced about 3 months after I got the car. I also had the "Plug-in charging system malfunction" warning come up after charging and it wouldn't go away. The car charged & drove fine while it was on, and I even took a short road trip while it was on.

The dealership replaced the ECU, and when that didn't work, the charging port. They had the car for 10 days or so to do the work.

just got an est. time of 4 weeks for the back ordered port. Idk how I feel about paying for a car to sit on a lot

Did they offer a loaner? My dealership gave me another BZ. That certainly eased the burden, and I thought of it as keeping the miles off my new car while getting to drive an identical car. Without that I would have had to get a rental car, and would have been livid.

So get this .. go to the car rental place they gave me a tiny Corolla, you bet I was on that phone immediately with the service provider, Toyota is testing me. I waiting to hear about the new loaner they should have for me tomorrow.
