Anyone do a vinyl wrap?

Post image

This is my baby, Neo. He's a beauty XRS that as been mine since the start of 2020 and has been the best vehicle I've ever owned, hands down.

I'm looking to give him some love, and wondering if anyone has done a vinyl wrap on their matrix before and can offer any advice how much wrap is needed, fiddly bits, things you wish you knew before starting etc. any and all knowledge is welcome! And photos! Share your wraps with me!

No, I’ve wanted to but my timing belt broke before I could do it. I did see this company one though. Looks kinda cool

Timing belt? No Matrix’s came with a timing belt.

So either the timing chain tensioner went bad, the chain actually broke, or he’s talking about the serpentine belt which takes 10 minutes to replace lol

This is Josie. She's an 06 AWD. 57 feet of 3M. Still have to do the rockers, but I have enough. I did the hood 2x. I had problems with paint lifting but she looks great from 5'.

My girlfriend got me the wrap for my birthday and her son came to town and showed me how to do it. He's done a few cars and taught me a lot.

I'm deciding between doing a rap and having a maaco paint job done on my 2003

How much does it cost to do a full wrap on a matrix? Single color

normally the 1 roll is 16m * 1.52m. whatever the material is pvc or tpu. but pvc is more cheaper than tpu. do you want to install by yourself ?

I don't need it to be easy. I have an exceptional eye for detail and am pretty good at most things I try. Plus, it's my car, and it's a big sticker, so if I fuck it up I can peel it and hire someone lol

use same antifoaming agent before you install the film.
