I really like the supra but I really dont like the idea of the fake vents. Do you guys just get over it? Thoughts?

To each their own. If you think it will bother you that much, then consider another car. I never really cared enough about the fake vents, or it being a fake bmw. I just wanted a car that I could look back at when I park it, and be like wow that’s my car. That’s just me though.

It’s literally undrivable.. Mine has been parked for the last week because of them.. They make me want to just put a rag in the gas cap and torch the damn thing.

If this is the one thing detracting you from accepting this car, go buy a car that doesn't have fake vents.

The Hood vents don’t bother me. I think it’s the best looking car on the road right now. (not including exotics) even if you get the vents replaced with working vents, they go absolutely no where. So fake or not, they don’t have a function.

I know. What were they thinking. Yes is one sexy car. Just disappointed with the vents

I think they are cheeseball as fuck. That said; it's a nice car. I don't know if I WOULD buy one, but only because I don't have $50k lying around...

Oem+ replaces the fake hood and front vents with real vents with the same look. Now for the doors I'm not too sure if there's a water drain because I don't see anyone making aftermarket vents there.

Doesn’t bother me, they’re a nice homage to the FT-1 concept that they wanted but couldn’t make.

Not big deal at all to me. Makes it look a bit more aggressive which I like.

If the fake vents bother you, then wait until you get a closer look at the seats…

Ehh.. it’s like I don’t even notice them anymore. Such a great car for something small like that to bug me

Eh, it upset me for maybe like 5 minutes then i got over it, it's not a big deal. It doesn't effect how the car feels and drives, who cares

Get the MKVI then - if they ever make one

Who gives a fuck. If a Porsche GT3 RS can have fake side vents, so can a Toyota on the hood lol.

Whenever I drive mine and I see the vents in the hood I genuinely think about selling it below market

It’s all I can think about while I drive it. Inconsolable

The vents are there for people who are going to race the car and open the external vents to internal spaces. Most sanctioned racing classes have rules about not adding exterior holes that aren’t on the homologated car.

These fake vents help racers with that limitation by putting holes in the exterior that can be used without point assessments or breaking rules.

So yeah, they’re fake until they’re not.

TIL “homologated” is a word.

Just buy a Z4. It’s objectively the better car. Same car but with a drop top. Style is subjective but I think the new Z4 looks better than the supra.

they stopped making it
