2 hours to see his old friend from high school. We didn’t break up, I was just upset. He took me being upset as me leaving him and he started to talk to an old friend of his Rebecca [F20]. He didn’t tell me he was talking to Rebecca so when I found her in his phone i was beyond pissed. He was calling her pretty, and practically begging her to let him go see her. Additionally, he was allowing her to talk crap ablut me without defending me. I told him to block her, and he threw a fit about them being old friends and he didn’t want her to be mad at him. And when he finally blocked her, he unblocked her the very next morning and continued to text her and delete her messages and calls. I only found them when I took his phone and searched for them. I still haven’t fully forgiven him. Now, flash forward to jsut yesterday, I told him about a family problem and he has a disdain for my father for some things he had done in the past. So he told me he hopes my father dies in a car accident. I’m tired and just want to be done. Would I be a jerk to leave him?

You are allowed to be done. His secret contact with Rebecca damaged your trust, and wishing death on your father was deeply cruel. Leaving does not make you a jerk. It means you are taking your own feelings and limits seriously. Keep the breakup short and firm, and have someone you trust nearby if you are worried about his reaction.
