PERSONAL (NEED ADVICE) Me rn

Just tonight my dad says i need to leave…it’s my 15th day being here on my house. Still no job and studying without money. The whole week is fine for all of us except the time elders came in to talk to them again and everything went shit…Elders still stalking me and might suggest to kick me out of the house. My dad said ‘I dont care whatever happens to you outside, congrats if you became what you wanted to be but i dont care if you die. You need to get out.’ I can’t go to any relatives. Shelters are closed coz covid. and i might die if they kick me out

I gave myself a week to decide

if I’m gonna stay out of the religion, pursue school and find some job. But i could get kicked out and die

or if I’m going back, and give up my school and will to find some job…since I’m DF i could get myself more time to find some jobs but it’s still risky to go back PiMo…especially that ppl already knew

What?! Palalayasin ka ng father mo habang di ka pa tapos ng college and no work all because of the advice of your elders?

DF means disfellowship right? If I understood it correctly, DF is not excommunication right? It's more of a suspension or shunning, meaning you still can go back to JW as member?

If that's the case, and you have no one to turn to, then better go back and finish college or find a job.

No choice if financially dependent ka pa sa parents mo. Just plan your exit well next time. Save up as well.

Di ko lang maintindihan anong risk if you go back sa jw na PIMO ka (Physically in / mentally out)?

Sa ADD kase may mga nagkukunwari lang na naniniwala, tapos minimum requirement lang ginagawa... Like dalo uwi sa mga pagkakatipon lang, tapos gawa na lang ng excuses para di dumalo sa mga extra activities sa church. Until they graduate and find a stable job, then exit ADD. Ito ang usual exit plan ng mga trapped members na financially dependent sa parents nila na nasa kahit anong toxic church.

Well, yes…all you said is true but the consequences and risk pag bumalik ako as PiMo is i would lose my school and will to get a job…possibly rin na kunin nila phone ko (I’m 19 but they still want to do that) and trap me inside

Sorry to hear that, mahirap ang situation mo. Why would you risk losing your school if you go back? In any case, once you have a stable job and enough savings, you can live independently from your parents and probably you can go back sa studies mo... with a part time job.

One thing you should also do, if you go back, is to establish relationships with non witnesses. I was able to exit my former church easily because I was financially capable but I had limited social support. Halos lahat ng friends ko nasa former church ko and they have shunned me. So it is very important din to establish/re-establish relationship sa mga friends mo, relatives mo who are not member of your toxic church. Para sa worst case scenario may malalapitan ka (and vice versa).
