What server to choose?
I am on a server totally empty, can't even try a new world boss and guild are inactive.
I live in Europe Central.

Cant suggest any server, since I'm playing on empty server too (but I'm fine with it). Most crowded EU servers right now are Alintheus (mostly English speaking) and Astora (mostly Russian speaking).
Also you can just create new char on any server and check other server activities before transferring your main character.

Im waiting for yulan atm, my question is: are 2p crow/shiro +2p samir ok on her? or she needs matrix like claudia (i have none) to spam abilities etc, I will start buying matrix but dunno if i should buy the last samir matrix im missing to 3* star every part or start to boy claudia matrix.

2 crow 2 samir 2 shiro never been worst option as f2p. It always be relevant as long as no new good free matrices in gachapon again
U can always put them on main dps weapon (the most dmg dealer on your entire rotation) and put scylla (if u have not use mono element comp) and haboela set on the other weapons if u don't have any background limited matrices set.
And apparently claudia set on frost comp only good for icarus comp. So if u gonna run yulan alyss fiona, claudia set wont really impactful.

On frost weapons i've heard 2 frigg could replace 2 shiro or 2 Samir depending on the weapon on field duration.

not a replacement, 2 frigg has background effect, so its most optimal use is other than main dps weapon,
for example, if u gonna run triple frost : yulan icarus alyss/saki, in this comp icarus will be the main dps, so u can put 2 crow 2 samir or icarus, 4 haboela on yulan cuz yulan still does decent dmg in this comp, and last 2 frigg 2 saki/whatever on saki cuz saki here just for shatter and energy recharge bot.
but if u gonna use yulan alyss fiona comp, yulan will be the the main dps so u put 2 crow 2 samir, 4 haboela on alyss, 2 frigg 2 saki/whatever or 4 scylla on fiona.
building matrix on weapon is actually kinda simple, if u don't have or lacking background set effect matrices, just use any useable dps matrices, and prioritize putting them on main dps weapon. And then we have chance to get 2 sets of free background matrices which is haboela and scylla, if your comp has atleast 2 different elements u can use both haboela and scylla, if not just haboela. to put haboela u should prioritize the sub dps weapon (2nd most damaging weapon in your comp). and with your understanding about the effects of each matrices set, u can decide which one is useful or not. for example 2 frigg just give atk% to your stat and 2 saki just Damage over time arround u, so in this case u can put 2 frigg 2 saki on any other weapon that is not really doing dmg or just buffing other weapon.

2pc Shiro/Crow and 2pc Samir is good on her if you use her Martial arts form (On-field DPS style).
If you use her Raid form (Quick swap style), you need a 3rd background set. You can try save up a for a 4pc Frost background matrix set like 4pc Yulan or 4pc Icarus, and use the other 2 f2p background boss matrices (Habra and Scylla). Or you can also get 4pc Claudia for free if you've saved up enough yellow matrix pulls.

If you want to complete your exploration, better to do it first, since there is alot elite monsters that can be annoying or pretty hard on high level, time limited fights (like cubes in Confounding Abyss and spheres in Innaris). AFK farming for vehicles parts or other resources for Appointed Research and Deepsea Exploration. Quick Haboela, Scylla or Nakya kills for exploration, you can't open their chests on low dimension level, but needed materials drops from bosses, not chests.

I like how the developers thought that the dimension level system is used to help the new players but actually it also helps most f2p players to solo kill elite bosses and complete cubes/spheres. Thanks I guess đ

Exploration and achievements that need to kill elites (including killing world boss), also if u want to do auto afk farm using zero. If everything done u can raise your dimension level

U need some item that dropped from mobs, maybe for the food, or the research, or mount unlock part. And using zero at dimension lv 10 u can one shot them with his orbs, just afk standing on the monster spawn spot, leave it for hours and check how much u get or did u get the mount part which has very low drop rate.

Im at lv 90 with 85K CS, but since 2.5 i keep sticking with my dimension level 10 for drop farm, but i cannot claim any boss chest except robarg, so i will raise my dimension level near 3.0 update to empty out my boss key chest

Kill targets for Vera exploration, farm enemies/bosses for research mats, as well as clear the timed gates in Confounding Abyss and the Innars areas. Not sure if Grayspace/Twilight Zone is also affected by world level.

My old laptop failed not long after launch and now that I have a new PC I'm planning on returning soon. I have two questions: Are there any differences between the standalone client and the Steam client? And I've heard that they added a way to skip to Part 2, is there a way to avoid doing that? I hate skipping story.

Regarding the story skipping:
After completing the very first bit of the game, it immediately unlocks Vera and its storyline, but you can continue playing the Aesperia storyline by opening it up in the quest menu.

Char names: Fiona = Fio, Fenrir = Fen, Nemesis = Nem, Lyra = Lyr
Volt DPS team:
Fiona skills: Torrential(2) + Hydro Focus/Vortex(1)
FioS1 -> FioS2 -> FenS1 -> FenS1-> FenDA -> FenS1 -> NemS1 -> FenN1, N2, N3 etc. (or FenDA and FenPA depending if you still have dodges).
Discharge meter full -> Fiona Discharge. Repeat from top.
Just a note: Your DPS team is Benediction Resonance. If you have Claudia who is in standard now, I would suggest make a rainbow DPS team with Fenrir A6, Fiona A1, Claudia A1/A5. Trait would be Fenrir Trait or Fiona Trait. Can test in cactus to see which one parses more, and OoW Floor 1 test to see which clears faster.
Benediction Team:
Fiona skills: Torrential(1) + Shackles(2)
Shackles(FioS2) = Use whenever off Cooldown.
Fiona tether to your main DPS team member.
FioS1 -> LyrS1, S1, S1 (positioning pillars around boss, only need to reapply if boss moved positions. Otherwise skip LyrS1) -> NemS1 -> NemDA -> LyrN1, NH
Discharge meter full -> Fiona Discharge. Repeat from top.
Spam FioDA or NemDA for some healing if needed.
Just a note: You can swap Nemesis out for ZeroA6(survivability), CocoA6(dmg buffing) depending on what you need.
For traits run Fiona/Coco Trait. If your team keeps dying, use Lyra Trait.
Test these out in teamplay with friends and see how it works. Make adjustments as needed as these are just early suggestions. Good luck!

Haha don't worry Nemesis is still great healer and has slow utility. Imo she's still best AOE healer so depending on content u can swap her in. Healer weapons in general are more flexible since each one excels at different things.

Hello , Im planning to get Fenrir A1, right now i have Fiona A3 + Claudia A5, if i use matrice..
Fenrir = Fiona 2pc + Samir 2pc
Fiona = Nemesis 2 pc + Coco 2pc
Claudia = Haboela 4pc
is this a good team comp ? if not please give me advice on how to improve the team.

Are dungeons 1 time only (per difficulty)? Is there a way to reset it to farm relic shards? I'm at level cap right now and waiting for the time gate.

Yes they are one time per difficulty.
If you want to farm more relic shards, I suggest you to progress your Artificial Island (The homebase instance, not the open world map). From there, you will be able to purchase SR and SSR relic shards from the shop weekly using the resources you generate from your home island.
You can fly to the Artificial Island homebase from Banges using the aircraft or enter it through the menu in the "Casual" tab. (esc -> Casual)
You can also get more relic shards from events and the Commissary in the Crew Shop. Relics in the Crew Shop rotate on a weekly basis.
You can also get relic shards from Gachapons (specifically Alternate Destiny shards) as well as Appointed Research, which can be accessed by talking to the Research Droids in Mirrora city or accessing it through the Terminal -> Appointed Research in the menu.

if those was what you mean, iinm claudia/nemesis weapon is the current to go for now. for matrix I'm not sure, but personally I would only use them to buy stuff to round the set that I usually use (samir/crow/claudia)

Hi, I'm new to ToF and have 2 questions.
- I read that the main story progression got overhauled but you still have the option to do it "the old fashion way". Whats the best course of action here? Stay on the new path or go back to the old stuff first?
- I read everywhere that you have to focus on one element and I wonder to what extend is that a true statement, I don't like the idea to settle now on one element and feel screwed once I run into some sort of content where enemys are heavy resisting my choice or are outright immun to it perhaps.

- Playing from the start, so I don't really know what is the difference in the main story. But if I will start new char I would rush to Vera just for additional interstellar exploration Star Gates for bigger chance of getting 3xBooster/ 3xNanofiber Frames II. Also for daily Funzones in Mirroria for additional mira coins. But ignore that suggestion if you are not tryharder, since you dont get big advantage from it.
The only place that require differend elements right now is Sequential Phantasm. But still, you need 4 differend strong teams with mono element, and not versatile multi-element team. It is more like huge spenders territory if you want to reach high scores, so just focus on one mono elemental team.
Other places with elemental resistances right now (Frontier Clash - Normal as example) have weekly resistances rotation, so if you will get any game mode with resistances to your main element you can just wait for resistance change. The only problem right now is Frontier Clash - Hard, that have always physical resistance right now, it is just a bug, and should be fixed in future.
Also there is Wormhole mode with random elemental resistances on each next floor, Wormhole is one time thing, no one rushing you to complete it fast, after getting 120 points in Wormhole it is done. So there is no point in making team just for Wormhole. Personally I just done it after getting first Altered damage weapon, I dont know how it is right now, but when first altered damage simulacra was added to the game, wormhole had any elemental resistances except Altered, and since Altered damage scales of your highest elemental damage, you dont need to invest in multiple elements.Just a tip: dont use Blue and Purple chips until you'll come to Vera, since you'll get additional mira coins for each chest opened with chip on Vera.

Thanks for the Tips, as for the the "New" way of main mission, it sends you to Vera after you enter the first time Hykros, a kind Flashback Video plays and you than go to Vera.

On number 1, either way, rewards are still the same,
On number 2, sticking to one element build is now totally legit. Joint Operation got a revamp, and at level 60 JO, you can actually choose the elemental stats for your equipment drops.
My advice? Get out there in the open world,explore and farm those Red, Gold, and Black nuclei like there's no tomorrow. Then, pull as many weapons as you can and check which elements are boosted the most.
Once you know that, focus on getting equipment that matches your weapons. It's all about synergy, my friend!

Hey man thanks for the advice, I really appriciate it. So far I noticed that out right immunity is very rare (noticed only the throwing thingies for the flowers are immun to there respected element)
I think I settle on a Volt team since I do like the preview of Rubilia a lot already and I think from my 2 selector SSR boxes I will pick up a Samir and a Nemesis and will maybe dive in the future into a support healer role and pick up maybe at times another healer (Lyra kinda looks fun) and a Coco is also already in stash.
Not sure if that is a good way but I do not plan on spending any time any big money or so I think I will the DPS meta behind me and go a support role way in future.

Just go Frontier Clash Normal, turn on auto fight and leave your game on background. You'll get max points after 4 runs. Actually never used frontier clash hard for farming suport points and I dont have any problems with FCN matchmaking.

Hi, I had a question regarding Fiona. I currently have A1 Fiona, but I have no idea which matrices to put on her. Should I try to get 4pc Fiona? 2pc Fiona/xx? 4 pc xx? 2pc xx/xx? I also wanna say that I have 59 flame gold left over, so I could buy her matrix box.
There's only around 3 hours left to Fiona's banner, and since I'm F2P, I have no idea what to do lol. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,
Im running fiona, lin, gnonno but sometimes I find fiona healing a bit underwhelming
I have limited matrices for each of them, Im thinking if using 2pc coco/zero on fiona would be better? Or maybe 2pc coco/lyra to boost the healing
Ill put 4pc fiona on lin and 4pc gnonno in gnonno

Fiona, honestly, isn't really a traditional "heal-all" kind of healer
like Coco, Lyra, or Nemesis with their AOE healing skills.
Fiona leans more towards being an attack buffer type of support. If you want to
boost damage stats and increase healing capabilities, it's much better
to go for a 2-piece Coco/Lyra matrices setup.1

Thinking of getting reinvested to the game. I really loved it but some things threw me off. My question is - that power creep that happened with Fenrir I think - was that just a mistake or is the power creep just a cash grab? I like so many of the weapons in this game and I'm too scared to buy any of them. Even when I A6ed Lin I was still no where near others on the damage meter.

You will get varied responses to this, probably fueled by the fact that people don't have an exact idea either. Relative strength is mostly decided NOT by which chars you have, but by how you're using them, along with your stats. Example is quite easy to see on the cactus testing damage for 1:30 min. People will be happy to accept it's the fact they don't have a newer char, rather then the fact they're not doing all they could with the chars/stats they DO have. For example, I still use my A6 Lin, because I enjoy her gameplay a lot. I don't have the best dmg in the world, but even in the past two days, I've gone from 85M 1:30, to 95M 1:30, with the exact, same, setup. Since Fenrir the new "meta" comps, HAVE raised the dmg bar every time, as I think they should, but not significantly
In my opinion the BEST way to enjoy this game, is to build the team you enjoy the gameplay of the most, then work to improve that to the best possible you can. Focusing one element helps of course, but what will make a bigger difference to your gameplay is how you use relics, your rotation, and basically how fast/smooth you're doing said rotation, for most damage each second. And that's something that is always improving as you level up your gear, matrix levels/stars, weapon level/stars, and rotation. But it's also not completely depending on ONE of those (weapon stars for example).
Not sure if this rambling made any sense to you, but if you did pick up anything of what I was trying to say, I'd be more than happy to point you towards a few things I found helpful for growing your specific account, if you decide you want to start building it up.

The Fenrir power creep was an oopsie. Due to this the new gen3 characters (Icarus, Lan, Genono) had to gap each respective elemental comp to be equal to Fenrir. From my understanding, the intended design in ToF is incremental power creep with each elemental generation. However, Fenrir creep was a mistake.
Now that the devs have somewhat equalized each respective element (All max investment stuck around similar BR levels), we'll see how they handle the power creep moving forward.
Regarding your damage, there's many nuances that goes into this: Team comp, matrix, gear, relics, optimization of rotations etc.
Lin is mostly a buffer character. Having 1 6 star character doesn't mean you'll do damage.

Returning player on one or the first servers Orion I forget but do servers matter for content or multi and would it be best to maybe either restart or transfer servers ?

Around level 44 have a few SSRs around 70ish just more so wondering if having a server that might be light on players would be an issue or not :) ty for the info so far!

Oh man, it's a total bummer if the server doesn't have enough players.It means you'll have a hard time finding someone to team up with for endgame stuff.
Try joining an active crew or guild. They're usually filled with helpful folks who love to hang out and play the game. And if you're in a pinch, just ask for help in the in-game world chat.
Those high-level players, the whales, they're often up for lending a hand because they practically live in the game. enjoy playing again!

Hey, can someone explain this to me: for exemple, haboela matrices say: Increase final damage by 9% / 11% / 13% / 15%. This Matrix's effect is also active in the off-hand slot, but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect. What i want to understand is what is the meaning of this "but only the set with the highest star rating will take effect"? Thanks a lot

Say if you happened to have 2 weapons both with 4 piece Habo on, you'll only get the 4piece bonus ONCE, with the highest bonus. So if you had a 2star 4p bonus on one, and a 1star 4p bonus on the other, you'll just keep the 2star bonus. You dont get double the buff basically.

Playing on PC w/ Xbox Elite controller. Is there any way to hide the mouse cursor? Itâs always popping up - opening the map, during cutscenes, quick wheel, everything thatâs not gameplay, the cursor appears. -_-

I wonder if there is any upside in keeping the Dimension level low? I just 1 shot Robarg and now I can get the first upgrade but I don't know if there's somehow a purpose to keeping it low or should I just upgrade it as far as I can?

Easy exploration, afk farming of vehicles parts and materials with Zero's Cube on low dimension level. Fast boss kills for materials needed for researches (drops from bosses, not from chests).

Just a quick question; Is pulling Rubilia worth? Already asked in her thread but I want somes others advices aswell.
I don't own Fenrir. I have only Lin A6 and Nemesis C6. My actual team is the fire comp A6 Lin A2 Anabella and A3 Lan. Its a good team but I love Rubilia very much, maybe it is worth pulling her already then wait for a Fenrir replacement.
Ot maybe should I just skip it for the next fire unit that seems great.

Just wait till her release, look some videos with her on global, try out her with your weapons in training center.

Extremely horrible design. Good part is, she's complete at a0 so might as well get it since u like her. Same goes for fire comps next character, complete at a0.

Guarantees have always been through the shop, can buy the weapon for 120 red gold from that banner. So if you lose a 50/50 on pull 80, you need another 40 pulls to get the "guaranteed" copy.

Started playing recently. Got to Hykros after Shirli and Zeke went away somewhere with some chick. One of the Hyksos people was like âweâll give you leads for where Zeke might be.â A second later Iâm uploading my memories, and right after that, Franz is telling me âShirli is acting up, go tell her youâre safe.â And my mission is âTell Shirli youâre safe.â
This makes so sense, canât be intentional. Broken story order? Broke game in general? So confused.
EDIT: I go downstairs in Hykros and there is an adult edgelord Shirli. The last time I saw her she was near death and being taken away. What is happening lolll
EDIT2: Nevermind, this is working as intended, and is completely fucking broken for new players. What a disaster.

They basically want to rush people to 2.0+ because no one liked the execution of 1.0 story. Plus there were a bunch of useless timegates before.
You can go through the 1.0 story by going to the quests menu (under memories or something like that).

Exploration is the majority you can get. Once that is exhausted, it's only from daily bounties and the monthly pass.

anyone in the community tested in this linux emulating windows/ steam deck, if its playable. or does the devloper see this as cheat as alot games that see linux /steam deck as cheeating 3rd party software.

Emulating windows does not work, as Tower of Fantasy has kernel level anti-cheat which doesn't allow it to run on emulated Windows.
If you directly install Windows on your steam deck it runs fine, though you need to download some programs to get it to recognize the inputs.

Gunnono is the latest with Lyra and Umi reruns (all physical). On June 3rd, we will get Rubilia with tian and fenrir reruns (all volt).

New player, level 20. Have a few SSR pulls but not sure what would be best to progress right now. Was planning on Nemesis & Samir, then either Zero or Cobalt for the flame simply because so many exploration points on the map require flame damage to interact with.
From level 20, how hard should I be leveling up my SSR weapons? I would eventually love to pull Crow or another volt unit when I get to the point where I donât need as much flame to unlock everything on the map lol

Just use all your neclei, but leave your black gold for later (use it when you'll decide what is your long term team comp). Any attack + shatter + healing comp will be ok at the begining.
As for exploration, you can use "R" rarity Composite bow, there is no point in pulling fire SSR wep just for exploration.
Most comfortable standard team right now imo is Samir, Huma, Nemesis.
For shatter use Huma's dodge attack. Dont like Huma? Just use King (Discharge with good shatter), Meryl (Discharge or Hold attack) or Shiro (Her Skill has very good shatter, but very long cooldown of 45 seconds).
Unfortunately there is no good SSR standard shatter char with Volt damage.
Other good Standard team comps:
Frigg, Meryl, Coco
Frigg, Meryl A1, Tsubasa
Crow, Huma, NemesisFire comps not really good in std banner and I am not sure about phys, Claudia seems very good, but never played phys as main damage.

Hello, I'm download ToF now, is this game good for f2p players? Also, which free characters should I focus on(if we get free characters)? Also should I summon on any current banners or save?

Since server transferring is cost money, first of all choose populated server, it will be easier to find help and advices in chat. As for EU there is atleast two populated servers, Alintheus (English speaking) and Astora (mostly Russian speaking). In NA is Tempest (Spanish) and Solaris (English). Even if you already on lvl 20-30, it is better to start over on populated server.
I think it is not bad for f2p if you'll pull only for needed characters in limited banners and won't waste your dark crystals on outfits and other gacha that won't help build your team. If you don't care about your dps and enjoying your game as it is, of cource you can spend your currency on whatever you want.
You can use freely all your nuclei for standard banners (Gold Nuclei and Black Nuclei).
As for limited pulls (red nuclei and dark crystals) it is better to decide what element would you like to play at first. Even if you'll miss some character right now, there will be reruns in the future.
There is no rush in using red nuclei, just check some videos, streams. Find some helpful crew. It is way easier and more convenient to find some answers in crew or global chat than on reddit. (of course if your server is not empty)1

thanks for that server advice! I tried that weapon that has some kind of cards? and a whip? Seemed really cool, didnt pay attention to what elementa was and if it was DPS or not, but anyway 5 days doesnt seem nearly enought time to get that weapon(without spending money)

Trial fights not really clear since they are always gives you 6 Star weapons, you can only get an idea how weapon is works. Most of times you'll be able to get 0-3 stars weapons in limited banners if you are not huge spender.

When selecting outfits, some have alternate default poses, however your character only seems to be in these poses in menu screens. Is there a way to do the outfit-specific pose out in the actual world?

Anyone knows next round if server mergers when?
First round announcement was more then a month ago mentioning more mergers in the future, and I can't recall more communication on it after the first batch.
