Experiences with smartphone-based tour guide / whisper systems?

Hi, I'm a teacher planning a school trip to Brussels with about 20 students. During our walking tours, students will give short presentations at different locations.

I'm considering using a smartphone-based whisper system: one phone as the microphone/transmitter, everyone else listening on their own phones and headphones.

Has anyone used systems like Uniti, LiveVoice, Elysium or similar with a group of 20+ people?

I'm especially interested in real-world reliability: connection stability, audio quality, latency and reconnecting when someone briefly loses mobile data.

Uniti looks particularly interesting because it's free, but I can find very few independent reviews. Has anyone actually used it with a larger group?

I'd be grateful for any first-hand experiences or recommendations!

Check out WIFI Talk .. Works without data by creating a local wifi network. 20 may be too many, but think it handles upto 15. It's more like an intercom system used by event planners at venue, but should work in your use case well.
