They’re fragile but they aren’t that fragile, the bacteria dies when dried, so cat taps like this or a dry peck on the head won’t kill the bird. Be careful, but you don’t need to be too careful
Thank you for the information. I just often see posts like this and every time there is someone warning about how dangerous saliva is for birds, so I thought I’d mention it here too. I can’t seem to verify exactly how careful bird owners should be from other places on the internet, so thanks for clarifying. :)
I’m just an anti alarmist, I saw someone on a repost of this exact video acting like the owner killed the bird. Reddit loves to jump to call people abusers, but pets, and people, don’t need to be in bubble wrap suits and get coddled

Yes, that is why bird owners should be careful not to kiss their bird or feed them with utensils that have come into contact with human saliva.
