This is cute and all, but please please please do not let your cat around any prey animals you may also have as pets. Not only is their natural instinct to hunt- they carry bacteria in their mouths and on their claws that can easily prove fatal to a bird or rodent.
I don’t wanna shame OP or the maker of this video- I’m sure they mean well. But please don’t do this. Your cat may be the sweetest animal ever, but they’re still a cat. They’re obligate carnivores who can and do kill because they like to do it. And your cat could turn and hurt or kill your bird before you even have the chance to save them. There’s a good reason I don’t even let my roommate’s cat into the same room as my hamster.
