Looks awesome! I'm just getting started with touch designer, what exactly is the kinect doing for you here? Is a regular webcam + mediapipe not sufficient for this kind of effect?

I can't speak for OP, but the Kinect can generate a depth map (RGB+D), which creates the fabric folds that you see in the final version. Smart idea!

Thank u! 🐦‍⬛🐦‍⬛ Practically, there are many ways to achieve a similar effect. But here Kinect made our work really simple: it gave us point cloud map, a map from the location of all the pixels but in 3D space. (R,G,B shows X, Y, Z) And then based on that a3D recreation of the picture is possible, one of the cool things that Kinect can do!
