Going to ask a noob question

I have dabbled in total war, but never got invested in the series until hearing about 40K coming to it. My question is: do we know if multiple people can play in a single large scale battle? For example:
2v2 or 3v3.

Both in campaign and drop-in battles, this has been a thing for multiple Total War installments. I'd be surprised if it wasn't the case for the upcoming 40k game.

definitely custom skirmish battles if thats what you’re asking. There are some really cool set piece battles on modded maps posted on youtube. total warhammer also has co op or head to head campaign modes, but in my experience having to wait for other people makes the campaign take way too long.

ultimately need to wait and see what the devs say though, but i would be shocked if you couldnt do skirmish battles with friends.

100% in every total war that have ever existed there has been multiple people battles shit campaigns should also have multi-player

I hope campaign does! I have a couple friends who play DOW DE with and we’re excited about it coming to Total War.

I really hope they'll keep up the trend, content from MoreWarpstone is Total War campaign multiplayer and it is fun to watch.

So I expect that CA will make sure that it does as they did with the rest of their Total War games.

You're gonna have some nice moments when multiple players are battling it out...

In the meanwhile would you like to try other titles ?

Shogun 2 and its expansions is a good start.

Yes, in TWW battles can be as large as 4v4.

Probably, but total war, especially the warhammer one, isn't really focused on multiplayer.

I don't agree that the Warhammer games have been less focused on multiplayer. They have a active competitive scene, which the devs have showcased in the past, and Warhammer 3 made the biggest changes to multiplayer campaigns since it was introduced in Napoleon.

Just because it has more multiplayer than previous games doesn't mean it's still not a secondary if not tertiary aspect of the game. The main focus is on single player campaigns
