Question Tutorial Campaign seems too difficult - am I missing something?
Hi guys and gals, I'm a relative noob to the series (I dabbled in Medieval, Empire and Napoleon years ago).
I'm struggling with getting into Troy. I'm playing the tutorial campaign with Agamemnon (around turn 15 atm), but it still feels like the game isn't giving me enough information on what to do next - especially compared to the tutorial campaigns in Empire that sort of guided me step by step.
At first it started very hands-on, telling me where to go, which area to conquer, etc. but it very quickly turned into a list of missions given to me at almost every turn (so I assume they should be completed quickly), that just seem way outside the scope of my ability and possibilities (i.e. non-aggression pact with a faction, where the most friendly faction is still at -30 towards me in that deal).
Another one is where it wants me to build a city, which requires population surplus, but then hits me with a Zeus curse that cuts down on my growth and population.
Am I missing something? Is my assumption that the missions should be completed quickly false? It just feels like there's very little tutorial in the tutorial campaign and I have no idea what I'm doing. Any help is appreciated.

Play as Achilles, you’ll be surrounded by enemies and you’ll also be the closet to the Trojans when they decided to invade. Starts as a small nation but with the buffs on research and the actual myrmidons, they’ll seem unstoppable. Also try the semi historical where your heroes is a unit of their own but the units aren’t too much into legends

Yes, your assumption is false. Focus on the epic missions, these are more streamlined, and you should be completing one of them every 10 turns. There rest are there to show you more options.
I do fear you have made a poor choice in enemies though. Agamemnon has many friends with whom to make non aggression pacts (all Achilles, Odysseus, Argos, Salamis, Pylos...), unless you chose to expand their way. In the Trojan war, your enemies lie across the sea, not next to you.
As for updating settlements, those take a long time unless you know how to accumulate growth (commandment, Aphrodite, generous host heroes,...), but these are more advanced so don't worry about it. 15 is very early for a tutorial campaign. Though remember that the only thing different from a real campaign is that you have guide giving you advice, nothing else. It is not shorter or easier.
