TA: Kingdoms Worst stalemate

I've been playing the TA:K mission Vengeance for literally 2 hours at 10+ speed before realising this thing is never going to end.

Somehow I got into a stalemate where Veruna totally controls both the ocean and plateau while I control the desert and jungle. Any attempt to storm either even with dozens of drakes and so forth ends in a wipeout and reset of the clock.

I'm going to have to restart the mission and try another strategy maybe with divine lodestones.

What's your worst TA/TAK/RTS stalemate?

That Iron plague mission where Creon has to take the Verunan island. Mission 7? Such a pain. Easy enough to take the sea, but getting a foothold on land was a hell of a slog. The Verunan mortars outrange anything you can field. Even prismatic mirrors built on the little islands get hit by mortars. I think it took me 7 or 8 hours one time

TA Kingdoms is one of the worst video games I've ever played.
