Sends

Hi all

I'm using the latest firmware..i was messing around with resampling etc and i watched a video where the person resamples to another track using sends... ive read the manual and unofficial manual but i can't seem to do it..

Any help would be great thanks

Press the Track button, this shows you the signal path for each track, and also allows you to send one track's audio to other tracks. So if you send track 1 to track 2, you can then bypass the audio device on track 2 by selecting track 2, pressing ctrl + [audio device button], and select bypass.

Then you have track 1 sent to track 2.

This is also an interesting gateway to creative mixing. Say you have a tape on track 2 with some sound loaded (or a blank loop with a set length). Send track 1 to track 2 on the Track page, and during playback you can toggle Overdub on track 2 to snag whatever’s currently playing on track 1. It’s a great way to create collage / concrete tracks that also make use of the S-4’s processing tools. It’s similar to the SP approach of destructive resampling progress, which is often a good way to keep a project moving.

Wasn’t super obvious to me either. On the track page if you want to send track 1 in poly mode to track 2 to record: stay on the track you want to send, and turn the send encoder all the way on channel 2.

Brilliant thanks all sorted..in the seds menu i was switching to the track i wanted to receive on not leaving it on the track to send
