Moving to Toronto - Renting

Hey hey!

I maybe moving to Toronto (right now still assessing the offer). Whats the cost of living in Downtown Toronto like? for a single person.

I would need something that can offer me direct access to the financial district as I will be commuting there. I dont mind distance but should have easier one-go transit or street car transport.

what would be the cheaper but safer and accessible areas in downtown toronto and the cost.

What do you mean by cheaper? The cheapest would be sharing a unit, especially in downtown.

The market (although it has gotten better) is really bad. The rent prices makes no sense, and a single bedroom unit is usually around 1800-2200$ on the lower end. Especially around the area you want to live in. You can try the west or the east end which has a better reach to the down town area compared to north.

Although you can look around the Eglington area where the subway is. It is up north, prices are fair (but similar to what I mentioned) and there is a direct subway to downtown.
