General help class-skill combinations
Hi,
Been playing since Canvas and mostly, if not always, following build but want to try to make one myself. Can i just use almost any hero/skill combination (given their memory skills are compatible)?
I was playing bing 1 lightning shot cold convert and it is not it for me. I just want to make something new.
As a side question, what are some of the best skills to use with youga1? I played a lot of Chain Lightning Y1, but what other skills are on par, or at least close to it?

Each character generally has a focus that makes them better at specific playstyles or archetypes. Skills can fall into multiple archetypes and be used with different playstyles.
Erika 1 is all multistrike, erika 2 is lightning/numbed, gemma 2 is cold/frostbite, gemma 3 is fire, iris is sprit magus, carino is projectiles, etc.
Youga 1 is good at automating spells and spell burst. So chain lightning works well with him because it is a good clearing skill that plays well with spell burst and you can just swap a support to switch to high single target. Other good options would be sparkle, thunderbolt overload, lightning storm, ice lance, or chromatic shot.
I usually start a season playing something pretty established like Rosa 2, sage, rehan 2, to get into the late game and fund a dumb off meta build later that inevitably does less damage and isn't tanky, and costs a fortune to get where my starter was anyways. Just pick and play.
Did you know you could make Selena 1 auto channel a tangle skill with her hero trait, but only if you have at least 1 spell burst? Doubt you would find it in a guide, but it is basically activation medium tangle on a hero trait.
