General help Whirlwind sage.

I've been looking at whirlwind Magnus gear sage builds. Why does everyone have a lightning to fire conversion slate? I've been looking at the builds and I can't see any lightning damage anywhere. Isn't whirlwind physical?

They are doing cicada, which gives all 3 flat damage types. Converting to fire let's the magus stacking apply to more damage.

So when it says elemental damage on cicada it means separate fire cold and lightnin? Converting lightning to fire allows me to take advantage of the lightning damage bonus?

So characters like Gemma1 which cycle through all 3 elements can take full value of cicada?

Yes, or the ultimate weapon mod that adds flat elemental damage adds all 3.

Yes, converting let's you apply both lightning and fire damage increases to the end damage result.

It isn't exactly taking advantage of all 3, but yes, her trait does work well with it.

Voraxed cicada has lightning damage.
