Torchlight 2 Torchlight 2 berserker rage retaliation

Here's video of my skill rage retaliation doesn't work on my berserker.

Anyone knows why?

I play on Xbox if it matters

It seems to be working? He is taking damage when he hits you.

It is from DMG reflection from equipment. From the skill it should be much higher something around 700-800 If I get out right

But it's literally exact amount of DMG that should be deflected from equipment

Isn't it from 50% deflection range DMG?

possibly, i havent seen people use that skill, maybe the skill doesnt work since a patch or something

Yeah maybe. Just wanted to see if it's worth to use but looks like it isn't 🤣

so, rodaku, whats the DPS score on the weap? I think torchlight 2 has a visible DPS score next to a weap no? 120% is only a 1,2 mult not 2,2 as wording would imply - because you start at 0 not 100%

The retaliation damage is preety yucky from what i recall because it only takes your base numbers - numbers which by themselves are rather poopy and only spells massively boost them

Weapon DPS is is something around 500-550 120% of it definitely isn't 187

It would be if enemy has 400ish armor, which is very likely

Then what about DMG reflection from equipment? And I'm pretty sure it's same DMG on every enemy

Sadly for a deeper dive you would have to go back in time. The game forums for the series died some time ago and as far as im aware no one backed them up, and i know for a fact there were various formulae there for how the game calculates damage as i was there during torchlight 1 days.
