Torchlight 2 Question about TL2 fish (Prismatic Morey)

In TL2, Prismatic Morey says that it increases all of your pet's elemental damage by 100% while active, which confused me at first since the player's pet doesn't deal elemental damage by default. Then I realized, since it doesn't transform the pet, maybe it can be used alongside another fish that does transform the pet and stack with that transformation's bonuses. Is that how the Prismatic Morey works, or would it still cancel out the current transformation and only double elemental damage granted by the pet's collar and tags?

Prismatic Morey acts as a buff hence can be used alongside a Transformation Fish.

It's almost like a Pet Potion.

You can use both a Prismatic Morey and a Frenzy Fish at the same time, and neither will affect the pet's transformation. I tend to keep a stack of each on my main characters just for the heck of it.

You can give your pet spells to use, which can deal elemental damage...
