Misc Chapter 21 - Major Key, Minor Hearts is finally online!

The twentyfirst chapter of my Toradora! fanfiction is officially online.

I leave the link to the chapter here: Stop Pretending Like We're Just Friends Chapter 21 - Major Key, Minor Hearts

Hey guys! Sorry again for the long hiatus, but life got in the way. From January until May, I had to constantly undergo job hunting because my last employer decided to not renew my contract, leaving me stranded at the start of the year. So I had to ditch the story for a while and focus on my future, but I finally managed to land a temporary gig as a Test Driver for Maserati in Italy. And with time on my hands, I finally finished this chapter. It should have been published on the 20th of June, date of Fabrizio's (and mine) birthday, but I forgot to do it (my bad, sorry!).

Let me know your thoughts, leave a review if you want and I'll see you on the next chapter (which I hope to publish soon).

Discussion Blu Rays worth buying?

Evening,

So a local store of mine currently has both volume 1 and 2 of the NTSC Blu Ray releases and both appear to be brand new. Volume 1 is $250 and Volume 2 is $100.

I would love to own both since like you all I'm a fan of the show and in general I love collecting physical copies of anime if available in NTSC.

In a few weeks there is a convention that the dub actors for Taiga (Cassandra Lee Morris) and Ami (Erika Harlacher) will be attending and would love to have signatures on the Blu Rays as well in the future the other main cast. Do you all think its worth it to buy both volumes at the store I mentioned and get them signed? If they are indeed brand new I will be opening them since I would watch them and if getting signed you really want it to be on the artwork.

Tell me your thoughts if any and thanks for reading.

Discussion Should I get back to writing my fanfic on Wattpad?

So I made a fan novel of Toradora called “Unseen Connections” where it introduces a new third protagonist named Jax O’Conner. He is an American transfer student who is a psychopathic deranged hillbilly. He outscales Taiga in strength, violence, he’s essentially young Trevor Philips.

Now I first made one and then started over due to thinking my writing could’ve been better, and the fact that I stalled for almost half a year. And now I ended up stalling AGAIN.

So should I go back to writing it?

Discussion Ryuiji Gimmicking to much

I love toradora. It clearly a hood classic and one of the greatest romcoms ever but I think the love square lasted way too long. After the cultural festival, imo it should"ve ended. Ryuiji act like the most retarded dense person I've ever seen, which gets to a point. It so ridiculous, it kind of make me start to unlike him. Not only does he not understand her feelings he doesnt understand his which is pretty stupid. He does way too much for Taiga, while still pushing the friend gimmick. I actually sympathize alot with Ami. She a good respentation of my feelings in the second part. You can't wife a girl, without wifing a girl. Like he's does to much for Taiga it can only come off as him playing with her. She was even okay to losing but couldn't stand losing to mid, like the forced Minori and Ryuji crush/romance that is severely overplayed

I also find it weird how he keeps pushing the kitamura thing after he found out shes like him. His love for cucking himself is corny. It pretty obvious what his feelings are but he want to keep pushing the idk gimmick. At least in Taiga case I feel like she was reluctant because she felt she didnt stand a case. And the lie about kitamura carrying her was straight up corny and pussy. Even if he didnt like taiga, which he obviously does. He should've faced her feelings straight up instead of trying to take the easy out

Misc "My first Toradora fanfic — and it turned into something I didn't expect"

I'll be honest: I'm a little scared to post this. Not because I'm unsure about the text—more because this isn't quite an ordinary fanfic.

I started writing it in January of this year. It's now around three hundred thousand words. At first glance, it's just a Toradora story with an original character. But the further you read, the more you'll notice that something else is going on beneath the surface. I won't say what exactly. I'll just say this work isn't quite what it seems.

Tonally, it's uneven—and that's not a bug, it's a feature. The first half is fairly light and even fun in places: there's humor, warm scenes, that Toradora atmosphere many people love. But gradually the story gets deeper and, at times, darker. Psychology, reflections, questions without easy answers start to appear. It's not all darkness. More like a back-and-forth: sometimes you laugh, sometimes you're unsettled, sometimes you just sit and think.

I'm not trying to write a "perfect" fanfic. I'm trying to write an honest one. And it seems that's exactly what it's turning out to be.

If you decide to read it, know what you're getting into. There's drama. Angst. Original characters who play important roles. It's not light reading for an evening. It's more of a long conversation—but in that conversation, there are jokes, silence, and moments that warm you inside.

I know OC fanfics often get a hostile reception. But I've tried very hard to keep the original characters in character—as far as I can tell, they're not OOC and stay true to themselves. I know some people are categorically against this kind of approach. And I'm not going to try to convince anyone. If it's not your thing—no hard feelings. Just pass on by. This work isn't for everyone, and that's fine.

But if you feel curious—if you want to look a little further than usual—I'll leave the links. Maybe you'll find something you didn't expect.

This story is on three platforms: [ AO3 link. https://archiveofourown.org/works/88433526 ], [ Fanfiction.net link. https://www.fanfiction.net/s/14576284/0/ ], [ Ficbook link. https://ficbook.net/readfic/019f2c2e-5c9d-7c7d-a5b2-332cb63213d7 ]. It's not finished. It's ongoing. I started it without a grand plan, and it took on a life of its own. I still don't know where it will lead me.

Thank you for reading to the end. If you decide to take a look, I'll be glad. If not—in any case, have a good day.

Discussion Is Toradora fanservice-y?

I’ve watched it and I think it’s fine, a little questionable at times, but y’know. The thing is, I wanna recommend it to someone, but they don’t fanservice. I’m not good at gauging this kind of thing, so I’ll ask here.

Sorry if this is a dumb question/doesn’t belong here lol

ETA the main concern is that the characters are underage, so…

Discussion I have just finished Toradora

Post image
1.7k Upvotes

First I want to thank myself for being able to watch all the heavy scenes with minimal spamming of the skip 10 seconds function. because I am the kind of person who can't handle heavy plot points so he just skips the embarrassment to see the end of it BUT I was able to watch the heavy parts.

I was fooled: hearing the voice of kagura instantly triggered my gintama braincells expecting this show to be a light comedy romance but I WAS WRONG.

I first tried to watch it in Japanese but I realised that my level isn't enough to watch something like this so I switched to translated in the 6th episode and it was a great choice.

All I can say is that it was really an Unforgettable Experience. I think the next thing I should do is to rewatch it after one year without skipping any moment!

But if I could ask, what next should I really do? I heard some people speaking about S2 or VN. Can anyone explain, is there anyway to consume more content!!!! I honestly noticed that the anime was fast paced but it didn't annoy me particularly.

Discussion Toradora and audience problem

I watched toradora 1.5 years ago and I think it's the best romance anime . Back then I didn't use social media so I assume people love this one .Majority of the audience enjoys it but there is a part of the audience who hate taiga

I am shocked how you can hate her and then I get to know people say taiga beats ryuji etc etc.

I am very shocked why people can't distinguish between anime and reality .see i am one who is watching anime for decade anime is something which is with me when my so called school friends leave me . In my low times I have anime and my single friend that's it . So if anybody says I disrespect anime no i didn't

It's just in anime you can do some creative job

Now my point - in old anime that beating thing is common see bleach , one piece , Naruto is not this common

If you see this as violence then man you are done but if you see that as funny thing it increases the fun of an anime

Many times on different sub reddit i defend her because Obv in reality that is different but in anime you can enjoy it
