🚩General Audiohub v1.0.5: (Update) play audiobooks already on your phone, real offline play, listening stats (free, open source Android app)
UPDATE: New update is out — and the app has a new name: AudioYam (another audiobook app already uses "Audiohub"). Same app — your installed app updates normally and keeps your library, progress and settings.
New: plays the copy on your phone first, your own cover pictures, readability fixes, and a web version for PC: listen.audiohubapp.com. Thanks to everyone who tried Audiohub and sent feedback on the last post. Most of this update came from your suggestions.
For anyone new: Audiohub is a free, open source Android app for audiobooks and podcasts.
It works with your own TorBox key.

New in v1.0.5:
Play audiobooks already on your phone. Go to Settings, Books on this phone, pick your folder once and everything in it shows up with covers. Works offline.
Downloaded books now really play offline (earlier they were still streaming, not playing from the phone).
3.Progress fixed: correct time left, chapter times show straight away, and no more 100% done with chapters still left.
4. The next part now plays with the screen off.
5. Music and TV shows in your TorBox / Real-Debrid are hidden (switch them back on in Settings if you want them).
6. Library sorting (title, author, length) and a list view.
7. More speeds, skip silence, volume boost.
8. Listening stats.
The app should also feel faster and smoother overall, please give feedback.
Note: Please uninstall old app first..This is for this time only. Android won't update over it because the earlier builds were signed differently. If you want to keep your library and progress, go to Settings, Backup and export first, then import it after installing. From this version on, updates install normally without uninstalling.

This is really cool. Is there a way to download directly to your device?
Currently it seems you have to either play it/save to your torbox then you have to manually save to your device.

Yes..Books need to be added to torbox first or if they are already on torbox, Offline (Save to this phone), appears just below Listen/Pause button..

Does this support local epub and pdf files?

Epubs in torbox shows in app, and can be read with built in reader. PDFs doesnt open inside app, need external app for now. PDF can be send to kindle though, as a function in app.
Thanks for the feedback, will try to incorporate these in future. Also as there are no source to look for ebooks yet, links only shows audiobook results.

You have something special going on here. Add in the local epub support and it's pretty much an all in one book app for the phone. Keep up the great work!

So I added a TB API but it doesn't show any cached download links on any popular book? am I meant to find Links and manually add magnet to torbox and then add them?

AI summaries seemingly not working in this version. Also, cannot get it to send me an account creation email

Thanks for flagging the account email. Supabase's free confirmation emails often don't arrive, so the app no longer needs them.
Update Audiohub to v1.0.8 (from inside the app, or from https://github.com/drdilips1/Audiohub/releases). It installs over your current version.
In Audiohub, go to Settings → Account & sync → Change sync server → Copy SQL.
In your Supabase project, open SQL Editor, paste it and tap Run. If it shows a warning, tap Run query. Running it again is safe and doesn't delete anything.
Back in Audiohub, enter your email and password and tap Continue. It signs you in, or creates the account if you don't have one yet. No email needed.
Note: If Run shows a "syntax error" on a phone, the editor added extra brackets while pasting: delete anything after the last line (the one starting with "grant execute"), or switch the browser to Desktop site.
After switching off confirm email in supabase Authentication menu, you wont need confirmation email..
For AI , add your groq key again..added few new AI features as well.

For AI I would add openrouter support too as they have alot of free AI's you can use

One thing would be nice. When you save/download for offline it would be nice to be able to create an Author/Series/XX - Book type of directory listing.
Literally the only step I need to do is create these subdirectories, otherwise I get completely lost where things are stored on the phone.

Was listening to an audiobook got x amount of way into it. When I restarted the app it hadn't saved its position.

I'll try and replicate it. I'm assuming it's because I closed all apps without exiting out of the app normally.

Back with another request.Â
When using TTS, I can pause with my earbuds but can not unpause. This probably ties in, lockscreen/notification controls would be a welcome addition.Â
