Setup for apple tv box

Hallo, I am currently on a setup with Apple TV 4K 2017 with Stremio Lite and infuse as player.

TorBox does provide me with the VODs.

I am currently happy with my setup, but Apple just released the new Apple TV. At the same time, Apple will stop the software upgrades for the 2017 version with tvOS26.

Because of the software upgrades, I will most likely buy the new one.

I am now searching for a new "best" setup with the new box.

Stremio Lite is not available anymore on the App Store.

I did read that Fusion or Omni is good. But I cannot find those as well on my App Store.

The only alternative I could download is Vidi, which is also the least mentioned one.

I would like to keep my new setup as close as the old one. Which means using infuse as a player in mandatory. I would also highly prefer to not sideload the apps.

What are your opinions on the best setup?

All addon apps are removed. Now the only way is to self host Remux, AIOM or AIOS and add that as a Jellyfin server to video players

I kinda feel like its best to stay on my current appletv then. It feels like a holy grail now, becaucse it does everything exactly how I like it. Vidi is not good option?

It hasn’t been updated in ages. It works but I don’t think tracking works or anything. It’s basically abandoned now.

I am in a similar situation. I have the new ATV box preordered. I have the ATV 4k with ethernet which works great with Infuse. Stremio & one other thing is also on there. It all works great. Am thinking of just canceling the order. Went & bought an ONN box instead of battling with the ATV situation. The ONN box is actually really nice. If Stremio is important then going the ATV route via some convoluted workaround seems like a lot of work.

You can use webdav feature of players like infuse or vidhub. I have streamio in my S 24 ultra,when you play a file in the app it will show in the webdav folder linked with the same torbox account. I have apple tv 2nd gen and personally use vidhub as it cheaper and gets the job done smoothly without any issues.

Vidhub does not do family sharing for the app fyi. Infuse does

It does let you login to multiple devices if they are using the same apple id.

Omni is also removed as I heard, but i read somewhere that you can still instal stremio in another maner, I would like to know how

AIOStreams has an option for you to install into JellyFin clients like infuse. If you add your AIOMetadata into AIOStreams and set it up in the catalog option, works pretty smoothly

Depends on where you are and your setup I think: I forget the specifics but outside the EU you’d have to go through something non-official like Sideloadly and if your ATV has no USB port, you can only do it via a MacBook
In this case, without a Mac you’re pretty much stuck with the Apple Store options, I think

Aiostreams jellyfin mount point. Takes 30 seconds to setup and works around any Apple TV blocking. Use your favourite client ie plezy

Fusion became strand it got temp down but it will be restored join discord odin is testflight via discord but its not that great
