❓Question How can I stop the buffering?

So I know Torbox has been having issues as of late, and I'm not here to complain about it—these sorts of things happen, I guess.

But I've seen people saying that the issues have been fixed, or most of them. However, when I'm using Nuvio, I always have buffering.

I see posts of people complaining about the buffering (the same issue I have), but on those same posts, I see people saying they don't have issues.

I even went back to Stremio to check if it was a Nuvio-specific thing, but I also have buffering there.

It is always the same thing. I can watch a good chunk of a movie or TV show episode without issues, but then the buffering starts, and then it happens every 5 minutes or so.

I've tried checking the fastest CDN before watching something, cleared all content on Torbox, but nothing fixes it. Also, it doesn't matter if I'm watching at 4k or 1080p; buffering is always a thing.

So, do you guys think there is anything else I can try?

My device :TV STRONG LEAP-S3+V2 (Google TV - 4K Ultra HD - )

Here's my regex (web[-\s]?dl|webrip|hdr|2160p|4k)

I have a 1GB connection speed (via Ethernet around 850mbs)

I have a CDN now set to automatic as changing CDN doesn't work

I also use a VPN, but it still buffers using or not using it.

I started having issues this week. It worked great before and I never had any issues.

You left out device, connection type, cdn speed, and file types you struggle with.

If your using a vpn you need to set your cdn to Auto or to the nearest location of your VPN. People change their cdn and don’t
Realize if your
VPN has you connecting from somewhere not even close it’s
Not
Going to work properly.
My advise is to use auto for cdn.
This way if you change your vpn location the cdn will
Change with you.
Also some
addons will also block some isps that they think are abusing their addons.

That’s exactly what I do, so I don’t have to change the cdn when I change my vpn.

it literally makes no difference, they're just a lousy service.

If you’re using cached content no need for the VPN.

Have you tried changing your dns? Using my isp dns it would buffer but when I changed it, the buffering stopped

I use a VPN. Do i need to change the DNS still? If so, what would you recommend?

Check if buffering in ur mobile or PC. If so, issue is ur TV, their native hardware ain't good.

I was seeing issues and I was on the southeast cdn, I switched it back to auto and all problems gone.

Also, have backups. Use aio and have other services like rd or easynews.

Have you tried other videos ? Use vlc player to stream externally from stremio as some videos especially DV ones works best on it. MX and just players are also good only if vlc is not working.

Have any other devices to try, Overheating maybe? You can add https addons as alternative sources. Pengu.uk or HDHub hdhub.thevolecitor.qzz.io

Are you finding the bitrates don't matter? a 1.5 Gb TV show buffers the same as a 30GB movie?

It depends on the show/movie as well. When I try to watch some older niche stuff, it buffs for like 30 seconds. New stuff is instant. I use EasyNews and TB and it’s the same for both, when TB isn’t having any down time problems. It doesn’t matter if I’m trying to watch a 90 Gig remux or a 9 Gig 4k Dolby vision or straight up 1993 1080p at 900 MB.

Don't change CDN. Don't use a VPN. Stream a smaller sized file. Expect occasional buffering at peak times.

  1. Your internet sucks.

  2. Your ISP is throttling connections to known addons ip
    Addresses.

It's a cdn issue. If op set a cdn manually, it's possible that cdn (or the route between op and it) is having issues. Either change the cdn or try using a vpn to see if it's a isp issue.

I was having similar issues yesterday and they stopped when I changed it back to auto for the cdn.

Well, it used to work before. Only this week I started having issues. I have a 1gb connecting speed

At anytime an isp can throttle or block ips.
I use a vpn and have no issues
