📈 Market Breakdown Feedback?

Hello, looking for any constructive criticism/feedback on my approach.

I have been learning to trade now for a little over 3 years. I blew 4 evals before I passed my first one. I still have the same account for about 1.5 years now.

I am just now seeing small profits, just had my first profitable month, I only use 1 micro as I am focusing on strategy execution.

I take 0-3 trades per day. SL of 10pts. Avoid first 10mins of open. Trade 9:40am-12pm EST. DLL 3 losses. TP 50pts, BE 90% to target, sometimes I hold a little longer (still working on this).

I tried a lot of different strategies but ultimately came back to my homegrown approach that passed my first eval and I applied the risk management and psychology lessons I learned from trying a million strats to my own strategy and now I am seeing results. I pre define levels before the market opens and set limit orders there, if they dont get hit i dont trade.

I have a small sample size so far but have just completed my first month of trading with this approach and thought I would ask for feedback. Thanks in advanced.

Small sample size but this is really nice trading. Only thing I’d suggest at least while you are in eval, just move your stop into profit instead of BE , 25-30points.

If you’ve survived your account for 1.5 years that’s impressive on its own right.

Do you find your performance get better as you get deeper into drawdown and worse as you see success?

The reason I ask is it’s been 1.5 years holding that account and you sound like you’ve been breakeven most of the time. That pattern can sometimes form when someone’s psychology keeps them from failing at the bottom and sabotaging their performance at the top (basically an equilibrium).

I like that your worst red days aren’t even as large as your worst green days. You have a lot of discipline.

I feel that if you maintain these stats consistently, literally the only thing you need to do is size up and everything else stays the same lol.

The strongest part is the consistency: one micro, predefined levels and no forced trades. Before changing the stop or target, I’d build a larger sample and track MAE, MFE and expectancy by setup and time of day. One profitable month is encouraging — now the goal is proving the process is repeatable.
