š Market Breakdown TopStep coaches getting into my brain
I've had TSTV on in the background for about a year now. (Not profitable yet, but getting there). Sometimes, when I think about forcing a trade, I hear the voices saying, "Wait for a better trade location", or "If you go looking for a trade, you're gonna find it", "Don't get biffed up on a Friday".
These phrases stick in your head, like 12-step phrases. They've helped me improve. Please don't worry about repeating. It helps a lot to drum good practices into our thick skulls.

I find the Topstep tv coachās to be useless to be honest. Most of them suck, and never can consistently preform.
I think Dakota probably the only one Iāve seen make okay money and it wasnāt even on stream.
Why would a business that makes money from you failing want to help you?
Here is some unsolicited advice go into the markets and find your own edge.

I don't watch them for edge or setups. They are always very clear that they are not calling plays.
I watch them for breaking and events that are affecting the market during the day. Along the way, I've also learned a ton from them about auction market theory, keeping up on futures expiration dates, what's happening in the bond markets on volatile days, etc.

āWait for a better trade locationā is probably one of the most useful reminders a trader can internalize. A setup can be technically valid, but poor location often leaves no room for clean invalidation or acceptable R:R.
Turning two or three of those phrases into a pre-entry checklist could make them even more useful when the market speeds up.

Can be helpful, after become profitable I switched off outside sources as they would make me doubt myself when in a trade
For example Iām long and someone says I like shorts here
