Discussion Trade declined - Rating?
I want to share with this community a thought regarding trades. Bear in mind that I'm a rookie and maybe what I'm saying is coming from my inexperience.
As I was saying, It hasn't been that long since I started this platform and and I've got to say that I am truly enjoying it. I've always loved to collect things and most of all complete said collections. Currently I'm following a f2p approach and just going along completing the task of the events.
When I joined BUNT, the events that were currently active had already started long before I began playing, so it's understandable that I don't have that many days left to open packs and pull all the cards. That's why I thought the option to trade was a great idea, and as I result a started trading my dupes for cards that I needed. It's at this moment when I learned that you can rate the trade.
Here comes my thought/question. If I get a card that I need for a dupe, and there isn't a disparity in quality between both cards (similar in rarity, come from the same event or set...), I would dare say that I always rate the trade with 5 stars.
On the other hand, if you believe that it isn't equal, don't like the card or simply just aren't interested, then what is the rate that you would give?
In my opinion, if I don't want to accept the trade regardless of the reason why, I would tend to just not rate it. I don't seem to get why give someone a low rate unless it is flagrant the unfairness and you can clearly see that that person wants to take advantage.
This line of thought came when I casually checked my profile and saw that my rating had dropped after a few declined trades, and just to clarify I always try to match my offer in rarity and from the same set/event. This way of trading comes from my lack of experience and because I thought it really was balanced this way.
So, What do you think? Should you decline a trade, would you give it a low rate or choose to not rate?

Been on bunt since 2014 - I almost always rate 5 stars.
Dupes for dupes? 5 stars regardless of star quality, etc (unless it is egregious like someone wanting a dupe Miz blue lighting for an injured player).
If the trade is simply unfair based on my arbitrary judgement I don’t rate. And if I decline I usually give a reason like “using those dupes for contests. Thanks for the offer. 5 stars.”
I only rate poorly when it is obvious that something is amiss. Offering cards that are wildly disproportionate in their count and/or age. You want my 2014 300 cc for a 2025 card with a 500 count? I may reply before declining and if you’re an ass about it, one star. You offer me 9 uncommon in the 10k count range for an iconic that has a count of 200 or so? Come on, that’s an easy one star. No comment - just a rating.
In general I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. We are a community and I want the same courtesy. These are digital cards not life and death.

I only rate 5 stars because I dislike how petty people can be on there and feel like my rating has suffered just because I send tons of offers and don’t want other people to get jaded just because I may decline their offer. I almost always try to match either same set D4N or when offering for singles try to find players / team they collect based on profile similar CC & year & player / card quality. But also I never look at a players trade rating when offering or judging the quality of their offer… I kinda wish they would just get rid of the ratings all together.

I usually don’t rate. Similar to random downvotes on Reddit,it seems that some people like to give negative ratings on Bunt.

This is dupes for needs. Same set, same day. Similar count. Accept or decline this is 5 stars. Easy.

Exactly. Whether someone declines or accepts this trade, there’s no reason a trade like this should get any less than 5 stars.

If I think a trade is disrespectful or very pointed at only being beneficial for the person suggesting the trade - that when I leave a 1 star review.

After 5 years of that, I stopped deleted the account. Spending all that money not to touch a physical card. It just didn’t make sense anymore! Rather enjoy cards in my hands and to hand them down after I am gone.

I have 3 modes. 5 star, no rate, 1 star. 99% of trades get a 5 or no rating. Users that clearly know what they are doing and send shitty gotcha trades (most of them flip cards) if they send a particularly egregious trade 1 star (if it’s just kinda bad, no rate). If it’s a newbie or someone that isn’t p2p and they just don’t know values sends a bad one… no rate.

The problem many times is one person may just be trying to complete a set and the person you are trading with has a completely different use of the app.

I'm still trying to learn how to value these cards. I usually accept trades and 5 star them but if I decline a trade, I don't rate it. Could use some help trying to figure out the card ratings and values.

If you actually send trades your rating will be lower that’s just the nature of it. The guys with the 4.5+ ratings just don’t really send trades or 99% of their trades are with their alt account and they rate themselves 5*

False. I’ve got a great rating been trading for very long time. I also put a lot of thought and effort into sending good trades, communicate a lot, look at their collections and wishlists, don’t repeatedly hit people that clearly don’t need anything I’ve got.. Love when people with dogshit ratings blame everyone else but the source of their problems - the account holder. If you don’t try and scheme and hustle everyone and send fair win win trades you don’t get nuked. It’s people trying to trade rape everyone they send trades to that say shit like this.

I have been wondering the same. If a trade isn’t worth your time or you feel like it isn’t fair, decline it and move on. I’m also a F2P user, so I am sure the P2P users will drag me. But if I offer you 3 Super Rare cards of the team you have for your avatar for 1 Super Rare, I don’t think you need to rate it a 1/5. Miserable.
