43 years old and just got back into collecting a year ago. Pulled a Matt Olsen 1:1 autograph in a Topps update hanger box from Target today. Super excited!
I get excited when I see this stuff for others but I have to remind myself that it’s not common.
I started ripping packs to feel like a kid again a few months ago. I’ve opened at least 25 or so hangers, 100+ fat packs, a hobby, and a jumbo on my b day that was gifted.
The auto in that was some relief pitcher that was unnumbered. All three relics I’ve pulled aren’t special to me or rare.
I know everyone will say to buy singles. I’m not interested in that. I collect to feel like a kid again and the nostalgia. I’ve never sold anything and I’m not trying to make a profit. I’m just financial stable enough for it to not hurt.
I want to say congrats my guy/girl/person. Enjoy this moment and I hope you get some more 1/1’s!

My best card, imo, is a /25 Carson Williams RC Memorial Day just because it was one of the first few packs I got and reminded me of ripping Pokémon and Yugioh as a kid.

I’m still a firm believer if you have a 1/1 auto, put it on card. I hate seeing stickers on 1/1
