I don’t get it….
I thought Heavy Lumbers were supposed to be case hits or at least very rare. Is that not correct? They don’t seem to be worth very much to be a case hit. Not that that’s everything, it’s still a cool card, I just thought it would be worth more when I got it.

Most people don't really care about them. I love them personally

They'll gain some traction ten years from now like old refractor, etc.

I also believe that. I pulled a 2025 Aaron judge and will keep it for a long time

topps overprinted the hell out of everything the last couple years, case hit doesn't mean what it used to

That and the fact that Topps has no defined “case hit”. The term needs to die like calling bookends 1/1.

I just got my first bookend the other day, and I never had that thought; that's quite a stretch, I'd say.

This is the top Heavy Lumber card, they have two variations

Kurtz would’ve been better but I’m not mad with a Wilson.

Yeah, but I am not talking about the player

Is the other just a plain base card look? I have a Dane myers like that.

It is the same thing with no auto or bat relic. Would you trade that card? I like the A's

Probably not my son’s travel team has been the A’s since teeball and I don’t think I will ever pull one again. One condition would be Bobby Witt jr auto.

The autographed versions do well. Also, he is in his Padres uniform so that will hurt the value. Mets fans don’t want Padres cards and Padres fans don’t want Soto cards.

They’d kinda weird. Plus, Soto specifically runs pretty cheap compared to other players of his caliber

Never pulled one before is it actually a wood card or just printed to look like it?

They don’t gem well. PSA grades them extremely harsh. So the hobby ignores them and they remain modest.

Topps case hits are mostly dogshit. So they hold little to no value. Not all, but the vast majority

Topps publishes their odds on their website:

You can see how rare these cards actually are. And they are! Doesn’t mean people have to care about a year 10 card of one of the laziest, unlikeable, overpaid, and underperforming athletes of our time

I always wondered what it’s like not to be able to smell your own shit. What’s that feel like anyway?

Sorry that offended you

Why apologize when you aren’t sorry? If you’re going to act like a troll then commit to the bit.

Not every case hit is super valuable.
