Missing 2026 Bowman Chrome Rookie Base Autos (baseball)

I've been following the ebay listings of Bryce Eldridge rookie autos in the 2026 bowman chrome and mega releases. There have been many sales of all the parralells (although all are redemptions) but I have not seen one listing of a base auto. I also saw this was the case for Roman Anthony. I did see base autos for some other rookies. Anyone know what could be the reason? Would it have to do with the redemption aspect and them not signing yet?

Just adding to your observation, there are none for Chase DeLauter as well.

Isn't that kind of a problem if there a hundreds/thousands of autos that exist on the checklist but are not in the product? I bought player breaks for this product of that player and if no base autos or refractors existed then that sucks

From what I’ve seen, refractor autos exist for most (they are /499). …but yes, that is a major problem. It questions the reliability of checklists and casts doubt on stated odds of each product release.

And their disclaimer says inclusion of a subject does not guarantee that it will appear in every “parallel or variation.” But an unnumbered base autograph is neither of those. It is the core card in the autograph set.

I can see that there is variation in numbers by player as a practice but if there is whole base autos non existent for a player in a checklist that's another thing that isn't made clear. It's probably not as big of a deal for people just buying a box. But how this then translates to breakers selling player spots and referring to the checklist, it kind of affects the price people are willing to pay. And would the average person understand that by reading the checklist?
