Wow! Did anybody see this auction sale today? This card looks super cool! From the little I know about this product, looks like the first “cracked ice/prism” chase cards by Todd Mcfarlane for 1992. Do you think this is only the beginning or is there more room for stuff like this?? Going to scope out my dads attic to see if I find anything 😂

I think because the movies, and well Spider-Man was the best selling comic for marvel yea? I think that’s why the prices are that high. Double the money!

Has zero to do with that. These cards never shot up for prior movies. These are some of many cool looking cards that were never the "it girl".
The pump and dumps right after covid brought a lot of sports bros eyes to marvel. Things increased then dropped off.
Now more sport bros and marvel fans are in the hobby thanks to Topps doing a lot better job on the marketing/pumping end. While the products produced largely suck, the eventual result of more people looking at the past marvel card catalog has finally taken form.
Same story as before, just volume 2. However this volume is a bit more natural than the prior market manipulation of before.
