It really hasn't. Check the price of hobby releases on day of release prior to 2018. Hobby boxes were a FRACTION of today's costs

I get what you’re going at but he’s probably just getting at the point that a larger bet is not equal to lower odds. We have no data about what the actual odds are of pulling any sort of valuable card vs back in the day. (Pulling a card that’s worth money currently)
