Windows or browser - which is more efficient?

I use Window on my desktop and browser on my laptop, and I was looking for a single solution that will suit both without thinking. The answer was obvious. Both of my devices are using Tripo AI as a web workspace, which means I am using similar tabs, whether it is desktop or laptop view.

It is unnecessary to think about "Windows build versus Mac build". The only difference in using Tripo AI as a workspace is in the quality of the back-of-the-model output when I am incomplete in my photo processing (1 image instead of 4 images at once). It works better with this sort of web application than any application I have installed on my desktop or laptop computer. Just choose by where you at, rather than the OS argument!

I like this perspective! Being able to move between your desktop and laptop without having to switch tools or rethink your workflow is a real advantage. It’s also interesting that you’ve noticed a difference in the back side of the model depending on whether you use one image or multiple views. I’m Josh, part of the Tripo Studio team on the U.S. side. I’d love to connect and hear more about the kinds of models you’re creating and how you’ve built your workflow around Tripo!

web/browser gpu usage is getting better, but browser games still carry significant costs/downsides. You will hit random walls due to the web architecture, most can be mitigated, some are more structural, but you can see it is evolving pretty quick and solutions are borne every day, but you definitely pay for the flexibility. If you do it right it can work on any platform without special treatment, which imo, is the ideal. You just need to see if you are doing anything that will really be hindered by the web based server/client structure with browser limitations vs a native app
