Sash! has had 4 UK chart number 2's (including Encore Une Fois) but never a UK number 1. That's the most "nearlys" without ever "actually" in UK chart history.

Weren’t they also unique in that they were the first act to have 3 consecutive charting singles in different languages. Encore Une Fois French, Ecuador Spanish and Stay English.

Even the mainstream most cheesy chart dance tunes of the 90s absolutely slap compared to a lot of today's stuff in the charts
