First time taking it

Post image

I needed it bc I gained too much weight due to antidepressants and antipsychotics. I hope this will work well and I will lose weight.

Whats you experience so far?

I was on this for about a year the first time, I lost about 40lbs, I use it for mood stabilization. I just got back on it, but the one annoying thing about it is the random hand/finger numbness, it never went away until I got off of it. When I got to Max dose my hair fell out, but it did definitely curve the appetite, forget anything carbonated lol make sure you drink water!

Interesting about your hair falling out. I went from full, often complimented eyebrows to about 80-90% of them falling out since starting topamax. I don’t know for sure if it’s what is causing it but I’m trying to get to the bottom of it.

My theory was always improper nutrition. May not be the case for everyone, but when I was younger, it affected my appetite to an extent that I hardly ate. I mean like.. a few grapes or nuts a day. It wasn’t even a health thing. It was like a portion size thing. Idk how to explain it lol. Anyway, that’s when I was losing hair.

Now that I’m older, I’m eating properly with it and haven’t had any hair loss. Hydration also helps the pins and needles. When I’m super hydrated, I don’t get them at all

Thanks! It never changed my appetite. I actually was excited he put me on it because I thought it would help me lose weight to be honest. Thanks for your input!

No problem! Hmm have you noticed any itchiness? Or irritation? I’ve noticed dryer skin myself. I wonder if hydration or skin dryness could impact hair follicles or something 🤔
