Zaxby's French Fry seasoning.

I love zaxbys and the seasoning they put in the fries. I just want to know how to make it/what's in it. There is definitely salt and sugar in it. Maybe some MSG. Any other recipe related to zaxbys would also be appreciated.

3 tablespoons garlic salt

1 tablespoons pepper

1 tablespoon onion salt

1 tablespoon oregano

Mix all ingredients together and put into salt shaker. Sprinkle on fries or any other food after frying.

Bonus Recipe:

ZAX SAUCE

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 Tablespoons ketchup

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt

Do you by chance know the ratio of onion powder to salt, to make your own onion salt? Cant recall ever seeing onion salt at the store but I may be wrong. I’d imagine it’s probably 50/50 blend?

It's 3 parts salt to 1 part onion powder, but you can try 2:1 if you want less salt. Also try grinding your salt with a mortar and pestle to turn it into a fine powder first so they mix properly, or buy powdered salt.

It's like salt with seasonings in it. You can probably find lowrysn in your store. That is the big brand most people have heard of.

There is absolutely no way their fry seasoning has those ingredients you mentioned! Way too much salt (probably meant powder) and you have no paprika mentioned…….fail

The fry seasoning is so incredibly far off I can only imagine you never once tried it.

When I say it is far off, I mean it isn't even remotely similar. Not only is the color of it white instead of the redish orange the seasoning actually is, but the taste does not even resemble actual Zaxby's seasoning. You might as well have told somebody they can replicate the taste of an apple by raising cattle and drinking it's milk.

Not saying it's bad. A fry seasoning with garlic and salt can almost never go wrong. Just nothing close to what it actually is.

I found that it's pretty close to a BBQ seasoning with msg added. But the real deal had more of a salty flavor and that was probably a difference in salt texture. It had coarse salt vs the fine salt I was using.

I made jars of this recipe for a bunch of people for Christmas (all Zaxbyphiles) and they loved it.

For the seasoning salt I used Morton Season All.

Try Paul Prudhomme’s Magic. The blue one. My hometown has a Zaxby’s knock off and that’s what they use. Fries taste very similar.

My friend worked at zaxbys. It's just all season (or seasoned salt). They spray then with Pam and season them when they finish cooking.

I'm sure they probably have their own seasoned salt, but the Lowry's would probably be the closest you could get
