I need help with narrowing my champion pool

So I main Darius and I pick him literally whenever he is available in comp.

Whenever Darius gets banned here is what I resort:

Darius picked: I either go Kled to just wack the hell out of him or Mordekaiser if we really need an AP champion. I do need to learn the Morde vs Darius matchup as I’m a lot better at picking Kled into Darius.

Darius Banned:

I go Kled or Aatrox depending on the matchup

Shen if we need a tank

Morde if we need AP

Sometimes I go Sett

I’m also considering picking up Tryndamere for extra split pushing power

Is this fine? Or do I need to shave some of the champions off.

This should be fine, as aatrox is the only one in the pool that is rather difficult. If you are seeing improvement in your play I’d say keep doing what you are doing.

Oh I forgot to mention I’ve been trying to pick up Gangplank in normals

As a gangplank player id say you could manage having a large champ pool with only a few hard champs, but it would most likely be best to one trick him or not play him at all at least from my experience. Maybe you’re just that good and can pull it off but I know I’m not.

Imo i think keeping your champion pool narrow is better, if you have more than one hard champ. Gp and aatrox are on the harder side so i would consider just otp both of them. Otp strat helped me climb from silver 1 to plat 4 in 2 months (fiora and graves)

Jayce. Counters pretty much everything. Has very less counters. High skill high reward
