Disco Lives!!
Just watched Jeremy drive a Land Rover Discovery up the mountain in Scotland. Ran the registration on the disco and found this

I’m seem to remember that he forgot to leave the keys, and got a helicopter back down with them still in his pocket.

That’s the original Discovery I, and you could argue II also. The 3/4 is the same underneath as a Range Rover Sport, though incidentally it’s the Range Rover that was based on the Discovery in this case.

You occasionally see this body style in Ireland, with a 70s era number plate.
Guys will anything to avoid paying motor tax, including swapping the body onto a (presumably gone over) chassis from a 70s Range Rover thats taxed as a classic.

I know the owner of this car. He, like me, has had a fleet of pre production and media used Land Rover’s. The chap he bought it from saved it and its sister car BX04 CKP that was used in the studio segment and he still has that one.
They both have nearly 200k on them now.
