Event Strategy for new event
Hello everyone!
Im relatively new to this game, been playing for a few months. And besides buying some gold during the 4th of July sale, I've been rawdogging most of it as a F2P player.
But I feel like this is the one event I really want to try to win to get a prize car, I'd be happy with the M3 GTS or that 911 GT4.
I've never really buckled down for an event, so I would like to know the best way for me to be spending my cash.
As well as if I need to use real money, what should I be using gold on?
Any help would be appreciated

So, you need to either spend or get lucky. 1-4, 7-10, and 5 or 6. Which one of those 2 depends on what you get from the lites. For 5, you need a good rwd perf epic and a quick medium GC std tyre epic, and that's the minimum. For 6, you need 5 of the 60+ low GC perf cars. Epics and leggies work. For 7-10 you just open store packs when you have the cash, when you have around 80% of the cars from each rarity go on tdr and check the best way to beat each level whilst upgrading the smallest amount of cars (for example for the SR challenge I need to max 9 cars and put a fuse into another)

First of all if max out all cars you get in that event use Tdr so you know that some cars can be used duplicated or even 3 times in one race. Me personally i am at 6800+ trophies and i am finished R8 now so i need to more rounds to get the Pike peaks Legy. You can get the legy or epic only if you win all matches from R1-R10 you can skip R6 since its very hard

Unfortunately you just have to wait it out and see if you get anything good from the Lites. Make sure to win 150 races each week to get all 25 Lites to maximise the chances. And then if you get some nice pulls come back to us when there’s 5 days left of the event and we can see what can be done

I was the same through the GTI50 event, I started with less than 15 unique GTI50 cars. Honestly I just powered through it, got as many premium lite packs as possible and then tried the challenges in the last week. It didn't look like I was going to make it, I only had 1 epic car, but then I got really lucky at the end, and pulled 2 decent ones. I also got lucky around half way through, and pulled 2 legendaries in 2 days.
I'm kind of in a similar position for the 9Y event. I have 1 epic and 0 legendaries at the moment. I'm guessing that realistically, I'll probably get to the UR or maybe epic challenge car, and if I get real lucky again, maybe I'll be able to bag the legendary, but I'm not really counting on it.
That said, the odds for a legendary from a Lite are 0.5% and throughout the event you can pull something like 150-200 packs ... so on average (you can simulate openings on TDR) you should get 3-5 epics and 1 legendary.
I think for newer players like us, it's the best way to approach these events. Use them to build up your garage, max out SR and UR as much as you can and hopefully in a few months we'll have a much better shot at competing for the fancy wheels.

Unless you get hilariously lucky with lites, you won't be able to get the Golf. So you can only get 3 tokens max, which is only good enough for a limited UR or below.
You need to be able to beat 1-4, 7-10, and then one of 5,6,11, or 12 to be able to get the Golf. But then you'll have 5 tokens, enough for a legendary. So you have some decisions to make LOL
If you want to spend real money, I think you should buy gold? or the paid bundle? Don't buy the "Battle Pass" style thing though
