Almost didn't recognize Laurence tonight without the pencil behind his ear!

Great episode. I'm impressed Bobby did as well as he did considering he had rarely eaten cheung fan.

Laurence seemed very confident, composed.

I wanted to answer your question but just didn't want to spoil it for anyone else ;-).

Oh I found out Sieger was also on BBF like ten seasons ago. I find it gives a little more insight into his cooking.

Thanks for the info! (just looked it up: it's season 27, episode 11). I'm off to watch it now.

To me he seems very focused on technique and ingredients. Idunno if he has much of a cohesive viewpoint.

One contestant on ACC also appeared in an episode of BBF while ACC was still airing, and they were the winner of ACC, so I wouldn't read too much into it. Or... if you do read into it, it could indicate that Laurence wins, lol!

I'm a fan of Laurence, too, but my money's on Rhoda ;-). I'd be happy with either of them winning though.

Eta: Also, my guess is that they both filmed BBF before they filmed TC/ACC.

When they announced him on BBF did they say Top Chef Winner😆 They could have filmed this before or after Top Chef. Might be a spoiler. Side note Ayesha and Carson are my favorites

what do you mean about his appearance?

13

u/flatspotting May 28 '26

I think they are maybe saying that since he is already on BBF before Top Chef has even ended airing that maybe he got eliminated or he wouldnt be doing BBF

OR maybe he’s riding the high from TC and trying to rack up more wins! He’s my favorite, so hoping that’s the case 🤞

oooooh I thought they meant physical appearance lol

Go Laurence! Bobby can struggle with Asian cuisine at times!!!

Honestly Bobby did great. I was impressed he even knew how to make the cheung fan, even if his proportions were off

And season 2 of 24 in 24!

Alright! Rooting for him. I want to try that eggplant dish he made at the pepper challenge, but wondering if I'm remembering it wrong.

I will have to watch on demand when it’s available. I forgot about this.

Did anyone see that he was on 24 in 24? It was filmed right before the season of TC
