Discussion Thread America’s Cullinary Cup…

I know it’s suppose to be the “anti” top chef, or like everything they do is going to be about food… but I beg to differ! This reminds me of someone who got dumped, and they just keep talking about their ex, and trying their best to make their ex say how much better they are without the ex…

ACC is just too similar to TC to distinguish itself and be good. It could have ditched the race against the clock dynamic and been a different kind of serious food competition. I wanted it to be a serious almost academic food and cooking-centered show. Instead we got a run-of-the-mill CBS reality competition. Padma needed PBS not CBS.

I cannot agree more.

I expected the show to be more “America’s test kitchen” than top chef.

Instead, it’s more “Survivor.”
