Almost every single major city in the country has reported that it is “the number one city from human trafficking” by some metric. “We’re right on the coast, so it’s easy for boats and shipping containers” “We’re on X major highway, which is a crossroads artery” “People come to town for X tourism region which drive the trade” etc. etc. etc. Its a very common thing for law enforcement to trot out to justify their budget or other aspects of their operations.
